she shouldn't...it's dangerous to use.

first of all, there is NO authentic sweet birch essential oil being

produced...what is being sold as sweet birch (betula lenta) is synthetic

methyl sal.

and the methyl sal IS absorbed thru the skin, is not excreted by the body,

and can be extremely toxic. there's a warning about it's use/overuse on

our website, written by an aromatherapist (who, by the way KNEW better than

to use it) detailing the experiences of a client who had used over the

counter proparations containing methyl sal.

somewhere I have other 'clips' about it's toxicity, but my general lack of

organization has caught up with me and I can't find it..
