Now this was with another high power blender but what they did was used dried

Split peas and into the blender DRY along with some chicken broth and

seasonings etc... and they turned the blender on and let it COOK for 6-7

minutes.. at the end they added some chunked up ham bites..

Now before I attempt anything like that I wanted to check with the EXPERTS..

Can you COOK split pea's in the blender like that to make split pea

SOUP?????????

will have the definitive answer on this. I know there are some beans that must be cooked (have a poison/toxin if they aren't cooked), but I "think" that lentils and the split beans do not fall into this category and can in fact be cooked this way (or powdered and used in other things as a thickener or simply as an "instant" soup - just add water)!
