I have been on this list-serve for several months and appreciate all the information I have received. I have several questions and would greatly appreciate any feedback. I apologize if some of the answers are posted; I cannot seem to access the group on the web. Please respond to my email as above (kweigel@...) since I'm having problems with the server. (1) What are you doing for a pre-op diet? And for how long? I saw the posting for the liquid diet with 80g protein and under 1,000 kcal/d. Are most patients on such a pre-op diet? (2) What references do you recommend specifically for bariatric surgery in regards to diet? Where would I find the ADA Manual that is mentioned? Any previous ASBS guidelines? (3) Are any of you working specifically with adolescents? If so, would I be able to contact you directly?
