Guest guest
Once someone told me that if I kept losing weight I was going to waste away. Sorta ticked me off. I wanted to say, do I look skinny to you, lol. I just can't imagine someone looking at me and saying " oh, you're really skinny. " I'll never be really skinny. Guest guest
Stasia..I used to think somebody saying I was " skinny " was such a compliment..now..if someone will say that to me..I am offended! I don't want to be called skinny or be skinny any more. that word to me now goes with the word unhealthy. when I think of the word skinny..I now think that is just as bad as being called fat. I want to be called buff or really in shape..fit..muscular..hot...volumptous..curvy..baby got back..ya know..all the good stuff..lol. I can't believe I have started thinking this way..lol..it is sure a different way to look at things. I like havin some meat on my bones..meat as in muscle..but I prefer not being " skinny " . I hope I don't get the skinny comment when I reach my goals..lol. Kathi In , " S Bachrach " <s_bachrach@y...> wrote: > Once someone told me that if I kept losing weight I was going to > waste away. Guest guest
I agree with you both! When I hear the word " skinny " my automatic association is " unattractive " . I mean, Popeye's Olyve Oyl is " skinny " . Xena isn't. I know which body I'd rather live in. in ID Kathi wrote: > > Stasia..I used to think somebody saying I was " skinny " was such a > compliment..now..if someone will say that to me..I am offended! Guest guest
But if you used to think it was a compliment, maybe the person who said it THOUGHT they were paying a compliment. Some people just say the wrong things out of ignorance, not malice.
