Guest guest
Hi Saul, Interesting article. I've seen the Rimland quotes before. He is a common name in my world--- for example he hosted the recent conference of DAN ( " defeat autism now " --an organization) to discuss chelation protocols for autistic kids. And, just to clarify (in case my earlier comment was not clear): articles on vaccines are posted on the autism treatment list frequently: however, they are not posted " as a source of information " ! Many/most of the people on the list are quite convinced about the connection between vaccines and autism-- Rather articles are posted for critical commentary, and to keep people up-to-date on a heated topic of interest. Some people like to respond (depending on the source). Example: because I read this list I know ALL about the recent (scandalous) eposiode of ER (in which an unvaccinated child DIED!). I also know all about many of the responses to the show (including from autism organizations, and a wonderful letter from Mothering magazine). I also know that Mothering magazine has some very useful articles on vaccines, in the current issue, even though I have not seen it (look for hypodermic needle on the cover). Anyone interested in " following " these issues should consider subscribing to autism treatment. High volume of mail though. best, Moria Message: 3 Date: Tue, 13 Mar 2001 01:04:57 -0800 From: " Saul Pressman " <saul@...> Subject: Vaccines and autism Dear Moira, This is an excerpt from Dr. Koren's newsletter: " The March 7th, 2001 Journal of the AMA published a paper " proving " there was no link between MMR vaccines and autism.
