1 part peach f.o.

Cucumber Melon

2 parts cucumber f.o.

1 part watermelon f.o.

1 part lily of the valley f.o.

1 part vanilla f.o.

Note: In the Roll-On Glitter, Glitter Gel and Shimmering Body Spray recipes,

I suggested using food flavoring extracts as the scent. I'm not implying

these are edible mixtures (and they should be labelled " not for consumption "

or " not edible " ), but rather the flavorings are alcohol-based, non-toxic and

come in a wide array of great flavors/fragrances that kids love: strawberry,

cherry, raspberry, banana, vanilla, mint, chocolate, coconut, orange, root

beer, etc. These will mix in a water-based formula without the clouding

associated with oil-based scents.

There is a method of combining fragrance oil with an emulsifier like

polysorbate 20 and then mixing it with water but I don't have experience

with this, and from most accounts I have read it results in a cloudy

mixture.

questions re. kids stuff recipes & labeling from a

newbie

Hi Everyone,

I'm fairly new on the list, from So. Maine, just trying to learn this stuff...

I've been making kids stuff (shower gel, body mist, lip balm, bath powder,

glitter body gel...) for my 3 little girls and they love it. Of course

everything has to be pink and sparkly! If anyone has any good recipes for the

above items, or anything else that the kids would go for (that isn't too

difficult!), please email me.

Now, I'm really hoping to try and sell some of this stuff at a local craft

fair soon. I've looked at the library links to the FDA, etc.. and it's so much

information I don't know where to begin. Anyone have any basic

information/websites about labeling these types of items, special preservatives

necessary, etc.? I want to be sure to go by all the rules, etc... I've got the

insurance and the business part done; I need the legal info. now.

Also, anybody from ME/NH/MA please write - I'd love to talk local suppliers,

etc..

Robyn

Cat,

You are a godsend.

I just ordered the clear lip wand bottles and then you post all these great

recipes including the lava lamp lip gloss which should look dynamite in the

bottles.

Just in time for a show I have coming up too!

I've known it for years, you are my guardian angel.

Thank you, thank you , thankyou (I am bowing at your feet, I swear).

On the right hand side of the screen, under the fairy is the word enter, if

you click on that it will take you to the next page with two boxes. In the

box with the word supplies click on containers.

That should take you to the page with the pictures and prices and the contact

info. She does not have a shopping cart but if you email her at the addy

under the contact info with what you want she will send an email with the

total including shipping. I believe she takes Paypal and checks.

If you still have trouble accessing the page let me know and I will get her

email addy for you.

Hi Lynn:

Glad to help...I had thought I found a site for those lip-wands but they had

a minimum order of 25,000 pieces! :-(

Please let me know how they turn out! :-)

lynn-

Thanks for helping this old woman find the entrance,

hell to be so blind that even with bifocals you can't

read the signs.

Janet,

If it's any consolation, it took me a few minutes to figure out the

" entrance " as well.

Dark colors on dark backgrounds are a bad computer combo.

But her site once you enter it is great and she has some really great shaped

PET bottles with good prices in addition to the lip pots and clear lip gloss

bottles.
