Also many places (kohl's and Mervyns to name a few) now are carrying what they call " Yoga pants " which are below the knee but not quite at your ankle. I even found some with pockets so I can wear them in colder weather for tennis... Pat
Guest guest
Maybe try boys sizes? I'm 5'6 " , 152 lbs, waist 30 " , hips 36-1/2 " (average) and can fit into an Old navy Boys 16 sweats. http://qwesteferral.com/r.jsp?a=Fmu9DBSgHpRfVU541Lz2HA$$ & x question to others who are " vertically challenged " Alright ladies, I just had a frustrating shopping experience. I went to find some workout pants at an unnamed sports superstore. All of their pants are apparently made for women that are 6' tall. I am 5'5 " , and there was easily 6 " extra at the end of every pair that I tried on. Oh, and they don't carry petite sizes. Ugh! Do they expect me to wear heels to work out in?? My question is: where do you all find pants for working out in? I need some ideas before it turns cold here in New England!! Thanks!
Guest guest
Thanks for all the ideas! I've never thought of trying boys sizes! I buy my shoes in the boys dept, I'll try the pants, too!!! > Maybe try boys sizes? Guest guest
- You are welcome for the suggestion! The Old Navy sweats were on sale this past summer for $1.97 so I couldn't resist at least trying them, and they work! BTW - I'm from New England - Auburn, Mass to be exact, and I went to school with a who was about my size as well. From what I've heard she's a Physical Therapist now - sound like you? You never know...... http://qwesteferral.com/r.jsp?a=Fmu9DBSgHpRfVU541Lz2HA$$ & x question to others who are " vertically challenged " > > > Alright ladies, > > I just had a frustrating shopping experience. Guest guest
-- Hey neighbor! Wouldn't that be a small world!! It's not me, though. I actually moved here a year ago from St. Louis, Mo. I'm going to Old Navy tomorrow, BTW!! > > Maybe try boys sizes? Guest guest
- Oh well - I don't live there any more - I'm now in Green Bay, WI. Guest guest
In the winter I have on pair of long spandex pants. They are too long but I just scrunch them up to around my ankles. They are tight around my ankles so I'm not tripping over them. Or I wear sweat pants with elastic around the ankle. > Alright ladies, > > I just had a frustrating shopping experience. Guest guest
I'm 5'4 " and buy leggings from Newport News in either full or capri length. On a good day you can buy two and get one free. I have the same problem with regular pants, they're at least four inches too long unless I buy jeans that are numbered. I have a 29 inch inseam. So, for my recently purchased slacks(all black, punk style) I also purchased some boots with two inch high soles and that solves the problems. I can't sew and don't wanna mess with a tailor.
