Guest guest
Excellent plan, ! I have general goals for the year, but I think the only way I'll achieve them is to do action items each month (which I failed to do last year!) - like what you're doing. I need to come up with a January plan. So far here's what I intend to do for January: 1. Start using my new Fitness Journal on a daily basis. 2. Eat a min of 2 fruits, 2 veggies and drink a min. of 40 oz of water each day. 3. Research personal training certifications and decide which to pursue, if any at this point. 4. Research edutional opportunities for my " day " job to make me more marketable and decide what, if anything, to pursue. (right now I'm sort of in a quandry, my job is fine so long as I can continue to telecommute, but it is a " political " job and there will be management changes in 2007 - so I need to be prepared if the new management isn't going to go for the telecommuting option) 5. Get a new home computer or at least take some steps so I can update my resume. I have my laptop for work, but I probably shouldn't have my resume sitting there! 6. Get yoga or another relaxation type workout in 5 days a week for a min of 10-20 min. 7. Take some " breathing " time each day for 10-20 min to become more focused, centered and stress-proof. 8. Research pre-schools for my daughter for next fall and decide on enrollment. 9. Potty training! (I was actually thinking of doing a daring experiment this weekend - let my DD run around naked - she does use the potty if she is naked before her bath time.... this could be a disaster in the making or a great success!) 10. File away paperwork once a month (on-going) plan is to do it the last weekend of the month so I don't have 6 months to do at once which ends up eatng a whole afternoon. 11. Declutter one room at a time (on-going) - for January I will get rid of duplicate exercise videos (either through trades, SASEs or donations) and other stuff! (be on the lookout for a post in January listing my items!) I think that should hold me! :> Would anyone like to participate in a check-in at the start of each month where we post our monthly goals, both personal and fitness-related?
