The problem with the TD applications is that we can't tell how much is being absorbed - in general it would be expected that LESS might be absorbed through the skin than when taken orally. BUT Dr Usman has said that from what she is seeing clinically she is thinking the TD-DMSA is being BETTER absorbed than the oral, maybe because many of our kids have such damaged guts and therefore have problems absorbing stuff that way. Definately better absorbed orally. This does NOT mean it " worns better " orally, it means you would have to use less. Once absorbed it is the exact same " stuff " . hope that made sense!
