Well it doesn't get cold here so i dont have that

excuse lol. But i do know that when i visit cold

countries i do feel like curling up and eating

something warm. Those new betty crocker microwavable

desserts make me crave a crisp fall evening in NY lol.

Then again what DOESN'T make me crave a crisp fall

evening in NY!

mmmmmmmm warm oooey goooey goodness...geez thank GOD i

dumped my brownies in the trash today or i'd attack

them right now lol!

It does not matter how slowly you go,

as long as you do not stop.

Stacey,

When it gets cold here I feel the same way. I think it is the body's

desire to put on a few extra pounds to insulate against the cold lol. I

know when I am really thin I am so cold all the time (unless I am

exercising and even then I am colder than I am with the extra weight) I

find lower calorie versions of comfort food once in a while takes care

of the high fat cravings (oven fried chicken breasts is a favorite here,

also whole wheat pasta with lowfat milk and cheese sauce, mashed

potatoes are good too). Healthy homemade cookies once in a while takes

care of the sugar cravings and keeping a lot of healthy food for

snacking makes a snack attack reasonably ok (I keep apples, carrots,

bananas, bell peppers, and whatever else looks yummy) - when I feel a

need for protein I have lowfat cream cheese (a weakness for me) and

occassionally chicken breasts (I cook up an extra one and have a slice

for a snack now and then) or fresh bread. Also I find especially in the

winter I have to eat 5 small meals or I just feel so hungry all the time.

I'm much more active in the winter so if I slip up now and then and have

some food that isn't so great for me I don't worry so much. I just try

to eat nice healthy food instead of going overboard on fatty food. And

at least if I gain a pound or two its covered by sweaters and bulky coats:)

Thank-you everyone for the good advise...So now I know at least that

I'm not too crazy. I'm going to prepare snacks in advance and set them

out so I can control my intake--once the snacks are gone--that's

it--time to stop snacking! It's not like I'm eating a whole pie or

anything--but at the same time a hand full of Cheez-its here and a few

peanuts there plus a small portion of chocolate chips are going to

creep up on me even though I am exercising. In the Spring I would love

to have abs that show!
