Another study investigated the capacity of Lp299v to reach and colonise the human colon. In a randomized, double-blind study on healthy adult volunteers, the first group of 26 received a preparation containing the strain Lp299v for 21 days, while a second group of 22 received a placebo preparation. The strain was found in the stools of the first group during the treatment period and was still present 8 days after the end of treatment in 5 out of 26 patients which demonstrates effective colonization of the large intestine.

>>>I can;t fin d anywhere how much CFU's per cap. Sounds like one you have to give all the time to maintain the levels. All these people being tested were 'healthy adult volunteers'.

I wouldn't rely on just this with only the one strain - I may try it on me and my grumbling diverticular - Sacc B sorts that so far but then I forget to take them.............

You are telling that Sacc B is effective against trouble with diverticular colon ?If so at what doses. ??

>>>Absolutely, if I take Houston Peptizyde enzymes and kirkman Sacc Bourlardii then I have no Diverticular troubles. I only take one Sacc B. I take several HNI enzymes with food.

Sam my son with ASD takes 4-5 per day and 2 CP1 from Custom Probiotics.

I will check out the new Norweigan one. DId you use the TD EDTA from Norway?

I agree - I wouldn't just rely on this strain alone. But in

combination with CP1 or other multi-strain.... If Lp299v can help

by 'sticking' to the mucosal lining it might just help create better

environment for other strains to colonise as well.
