Guest guest
Using my regular recipe, I've made two batches of cream using Ewax from Soapers Choice. It's setting up almost instantaneously and yields a much thicker product . The first time I thought I measured incorrectly, so was extra careful measuring the second time, but got the same result. Mixing temps have been b/t 110 and 120. I'm not complaining (and may actually like this new, thicker product a little better) just curious if others have had this experience? Guest guest
i've had that happen with emulsifying wax and a salve that i generally make with bees wax... if i remember correctly... it took more e-wax to make it set the way the bees wax does... lotion, on the other hand, i've ONLY made with e-wax, so i have nothing to compare it too Sam K. Guest guest
Hi Vickie, I've noticed that when I use Ewax & vegetable stearic acid I get that thicker texture also. I love it too and wouldn't want to change it at all. It somehow feels more luxurious. It looks as if it's been whipped doesn't it?
