Guest guest
I would have said right away that 5:50am was not the proper time to call someone and that you would call them back later on in the day and then I would have hung up and taken my phone off the hook to prevent a return call before the time I wanted to take one. Later I would have called her back and said just send me back the product and when I receive it I will mail a refund. No point in arguing with a customer like this. I'd also note their name and not sell to them in the future. Carol ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ ~~~~~ What would you say if a customer who seemed like a big oddball from the beginning... called you up at 5:30 on sunday morning (wakes you, your family, and your weekend company up) to complain. Tell you you stuf smells like rats and makes her itch. First time for me for this sort of thing. Now I KNOW I have good products and not that I know what rats smell like, pretty sure none of my stuf smells like that. Shaye
Guest guest
Carol, that is exactly what I am going to do. Just cant beleive she had the nerve. She was on the defense for no reason and I think she wanted me to say something she could use against me but I was very nice and just told her to send them back. BEEP! ! ! " hang up and unplug the phone quickly. seriously though.. yeah I would say that " i am sorry you feel that way, send it back and I will refund it " then hope you never have to deal with her again and make a note that your BUSINESS hours do not include 5:30 in the morning on sundays. Some people are not only idiots but inconsiderate jerks as well. though it seems most idiots are jerks. not to be confused with the uneducated. Uneducated are thoughs just not taught and are willing to learn where as idiots are those who think they know things, but what they know is wrong and don't want to learn what is in fact right. hopefully it all works out for you. > > What would you say if a customer who seemed like a big oddball from the > beginning... called you up at 5:30 on sunday morning (wakes you, your > family, and your weekend company up) to complain. Guest guest
Unbelievable! Who would DO that? She's a crackpot, for sure. I've seen and used enough of your products to know that they're high quality, so her claim is baseless. You've gotten good advice. Refund her money and fire her as a customer. :-) Beth Byrne http://www.SoapAndGarden.com Soap, get the real thing! http://www.Saponifier.com On Sun, May 16, 2010 at 4:48 PM, Shaye <shaye@...> wrote: > > > What would you say if a customer who seemed like a big oddball from the > beginning... called you up at 5:30 on sunday morning (wakes you, your > family, and your weekend company up) to complain. Guest guest
Hi Shaye,  Refund money upon return of unused product(s). Of course, she has to pay return shipping as well. Then remove her name from all mailing lists, e-mails notifications, and any other form of communication. Then refuse any more purchases from her.  As a side note - I use a cheapie disposable phone (pay as you go) for inbound calls. Always goes into a voicemail. Set to no-ringer and vibrate only. They can call anytime they want - but I am not going to answer it during non-business hours. It's pretty sad when you have to screen customer calls . . .  LOL. And with caller ID and stuff - I use the same phone to return calls. Home phone is out of bounds.  HTH, Kirk   Posted by: " Shaye " shaye@...  thesoapshack1 Sun May 16, 2010 1:48 pm (PDT) What would you say if a customer who seemed like a big oddball from the beginning... called you up at 5:30 on sunday morning (wakes you, your family, and your weekend company up) to complain. Guest guest
Now that Bob and I have composed ourselves...that has to be about the best one i have heard thus far Shay...Do not get upset...there are a lot of looneies running around out there, just ask my bob who deals with them each night at the city ER and boy o boy could he write a book. Do not take it to heart. I have had some doozies come intoour shop. When I limited my days open I was away with miom at her oc appt. and my poor son rob went to the door to be blasted by a women who wanted to see me but Rob toldd she went off on a rant & used curse words he sid he hadn't even heard at college. Told him not to feel bad that I would prefer it if she never came back. I am thinking this one needs some phyco evalualtion and then when you give her her $ back let her know you would prefer she not return. Does she by chance also make soap...hhhmmm?I think i would ask her why she didn't think it smelled like rats when she bought it and then tell herthe soap picks up the smell of the customer when using it...but that is just me ;O Deb >
Guest guest
LOL Deb, you made me laugh there. That was just the short and condensed version of my story. Althouhg she did not curse at me, she totaly did not make sence thruout the whole process from her initial order. I cant say for fact, but my feeling is that no she does not make soap. She also accused my creams of being liquidy. I checked them before I sent them so I know they were not. I just kinda feel like either she is trying to find a reason to sue me, or she spent too much money and wanted it back. Its a scary thought nowadays. Thanks everyone for your support and for not saying.. well when your soap is smelling like rats, its time to hang up your stick blender. Hmm just got an idea for the product swap! LOL JK.
