Guest guest
Thank you colleen for all that info. I do appreciate you taking the time. Weimies also are prone to hip problems, but I had his hips xrayed when they had to scope him and they are good. , I think all deep chested dogs are. My friend's weimie got bloat and they almost lost him. I try to keep him still after he eats for a while, but it isn't easy. And Yup it's the same dog. He actually is really smart and can do many things, but he needs constant attention. I taught that trick like this. First He knows the name of many toys . So if I say get your ball. He can get the ball. He knows the difference between, ball, duck, zebra, rope and baby. He has other toys, but he doesn't know what they are called yet. After he strewn his toys about. I held the toybox near me with treats. And said " Tidy up Zebra " when he brought the zebra I said give and he'd drop the toy in the box and I'g give him a treat. Soon, I just had to say tidy up and not the give command and he would drop whatever toy in the box and get a treat and then I just had to say Tidy up and he'd run and try to get all thetoys in the box at once for a treat. Now I don't even have to give treats. It's a great way to keep him occupied while we watch TV. Bridgette , " " <chandani@r...> wrote: > Bridgette, is this the same dog that puts his toys away?
