Hi Darcy,

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I

hope you get better soon. I had a very, very bad case

of mastitis - it got totally out of control and it was

just awful, so please check into it if you suspect it.

I let mine go too long b/c I didn't know what it was

(I thought breastfeeding was supposed to be that

painful!!)

Hang in there and feel better soon!

oh my!!! is there anything you can do to prevent another occurrence?

doesnt mastitis happen when milk sits in the ducts for too long? maybe you

will have to express after feeding if your baby isnt draining the breast as

much as possible?

Apparently I have " scar tissue " in that breast now which makes it

more susceptible... (sp?) That breast makes the least amount of milk

anyway, so it's never full. I don't know. I don't really get it

either. Just know it's frustrating!

things that mothers go through for their children!

Thanks Carolyn :) No way will I wean him........ It's far too good

for him! :) If it came down to it, I could probably just use one

breast and still have enough..LOL.. BUT, I'm sure it won't come down

to that either. I was told to take grape seed extract and soy

lecithin, I'll have to check into it..

Okay, no need to respond I doubt the fellow-exercisers care to hear

about my sore breast...LOL...

Darcy,

Sorry to hear you've been so sick. But, yes, not all of us need to

hear ALL the details. LOL

Sorry, but breast-feeding is one of those subjects that just totally

creeps me out. Maybe it's because I'm a man and maybe it's because

I'm an adoptive parent and my wife didn't breast feed. It's about the

only subject I'm too squeamish to handle. :-)

But I really do hope you get better soon.
