Guest guest
Snowdrift Farm has KOH to mail order. I think they also have new recipes for Liquid Soap, a slighly different method than C. Failor's, no alcohol in theirs, in the recipe section...www.snowdriftfarm.com :-) hth, Gillian Re: Liquid Soap Hi, Many of us go to our local chemical and pool supply place and buy it in bulk. Guest guest
The following site has much easier instructions: http://www.thesage.com/recipes/recipes.php3?.State=Display & id=102 Here's two sites that use Failor's paste method but provide much more detail and explanation: http://www.essencesupply.com/liquid/liquidsoap.html http://pawmadesoap.safeshopper.com/113/cat113.htm?586 I started making liquid soap using Failor's paste method. My method now is pretty simple. I mix the indicated lye and oils, stir to trace, and then let it sit in the pot for a few days with a piece of cheesecloth covering it to keep dust out. I stir it once per day. I add water to get it to the consistency I want after 3-5 days. This works for me, and is pretty easy. Guest guest
Three of us (LaShonda Tyree, Vicki Marstead and me) tried out Deb S. recipe and it came out great. Can't wait to try some others in our Gathering booklet. Any one else tried some booklet recipes yet? Gelnett www.angelicglow.com
