Guest guest
Good god,I don't even remember.....down the street from a nursing home and highschool...apartment buildings.....it was eight years ago and I've lived in four homes since. The gym was over by the college though, I remember that...it was a bit of a drive. We used to go to Racine, to the mall, all the time. Guest guest
I bet it was Bradford High School on Washington since there is a nursing home right next door to the HS. There are apartments there called Birchwood, I think. Might be them. I work at Gateway Technical College, but I think you area talking about Parkside. I am trying to think of a gym that is by Parkside and not coming up with anything. Maybe in the 8 yrs it has closed...not sure. The mall is still there and still hopping! Where are you now? I know you told me but I forgot. Guest guest
Yeah it was past Parkside...maybe quite a bit...seemed like way out...but it was great...great free weight room...I almost lost my wedding ring there once. They also had these wonderful bikes...they leaned back, had huge seats and arm pedals. It was good for me at the time, because I had busted my tailbone playing volleyball in my eigth month and severly twisted my ankle in my sixth. (fell in a hole) I live in Fort Worth Texas now, but I grew up in and around the Chicago, Rockford and Southern Wisconsin areas (Janesville, Beloit) which is where most of our family still lives. Guest guest
Oh...maybe you mean Wisconsin Fitness on Sheridan Road. That isn't far from Parkside but it is past it. Friends of ours just moved to Texas last year and she is already talking with an accent! :-) Re: Gym attitude- Yeah it was past Parkside...maybe quite a bit...seemed like way out...but it was great...great free weight room...I almost lost my wedding ring there once. Guest guest
Doesn't ring a bell...but it was a long time ago. sheridan Road sounds familiar. I will NEVER have an accent other than my native Yankee accent! Does she like TX? I hated it our first year...felt like a very unwelcoming foreign country. Our neighbors loaned us Gone with the Wind to show us what we did to them. I thought that was so funny as my grandparents are Native American and " fresh off the boat " Irishmen... Guest guest
I talked to a guy that worked at Flex (18 months ago, so who knows if he still works there) (the one in racine) and he knew all about BFL, and actually said they had a 55 yr old guy that worked out at the guy that did BFL and he won something(not sure what kind of competition he did) Ask other people that work there. That guy is clearly a moron. Guest guest
Kris loves TX...she is rather high maintenance so she fits in. :-) Teasing, you TX girls. I am a Yank all the way, too. I know...southerners can be so sensitive! Then they hear that my gggrandfather was a sgt for 17 WI Co G and fought at Vicksburg! Haha. He wasn't even a citizen of the US...he had arrived from Belgium two years before. My cousin lives in New Orleans and has such a heavy accent...I think she is trying to hide the fact that she's a Yankee. LOL. Guest guest
Get OUT!!!!!!!!!! I will ask around. The unsupportive guy I saw was at Flex for Her, but he normally is at the other one. I saw lots of pictures on the wall of competitors...maybe that guy is up there. I'll have to check it out! You know, I want to tell them that in the 2-ish weeks that I have been doing this, my scale has not changed significantly but my clothes are already fitting differently; my skin is clearer (yay, flax oil is nasty but it makes me look better! :-)); I sleep better at night and have more energy in the day; my posture has improved; *warning-gross* and for someone who normally " went " every 2 to 3 days, I am now pooping every day! This much in two weeks! I see all of you guys having success by either following by the book exactly or tweaking a bit and this many people can't be wrong. Maybe instead of slamming the program, research it a bit and modify it to fit his own needs. Thanks for the support! Guest guest
, Where did you get flax oil , do you have the liquid kind, cuz i could never pop 14 pills( i think someone said) Did you get it from Molbeck's? I have never taked flax oil, how do you get it down? Is it really nasty? Where did you get you Uturn bars from too? I ventured to Pick n Save and I tried reading all the labels and chose a Protein Plus bar. One bite, ok...two...getting worse...3/4 of the way thru the bar, i had to stop cuz i was gonna lose it in the car. But I just waited a few min. and finished it up. It was ok I guess. Guest guest
Hi, Aimee. Yep...I got it at Molbeck's. It was about 8 bucks, but you can get a cheaper one at Walgreens/ WalMart/ Kmart. It is in a black bottle and you have to refrigerate it after you open it. At Molbeck's it is in the cooler. I just open the top and take a swig. I used to put it on a spoon, blah blah but I am the only one who takes it so to me who cares?! :-) It is fairly nasty and I am hoping that some day I will get used to it. I follow it up with some sugarless gum. Hee hee. The UTurn bars were from Jewel. They have sushi there too if you like that. YUM!!!!!!!! They are $1.99 there and I also saw them at PickNSave on Green Bay for $2.49 each. For once, Jewel is cheaper. I didn't like ANY of the bars except the UTurn. I didn't try the Detour yet. Oh, wait...I also tried the EAS energy bars and they were ok...it was like a big chocolate rice krispie square (but not nearly as tasty!). That was ok, too. Pick N Save has the Designer Whey also for like $10.99 or thereabouts. Everyone has said that it is very good, so I think when I am done with my nasty whey from Molbeck's I'll try the Desinber Whey. Guest guest
Really? Pick n save on greenbay rd? That's where I was checking them out. I didn't see any U turn bars, were they in the individual section by the express line? I was in a hurry too, so maybe i missed them. I have some old whey protein that i got at walmart, and it's not very good. and the stats are low. I want some new stuff, but my hubby is all about " you wanted it you use it up first, and then get something else " , That's why I'm afraid to by flax oil. I'm not sure if GNC has it, but 18 months ago, they didn't. That's why I guessed Molbecks. Maybe I'll venture there one day. Thanks, Aimee > Hi, Aimee. > > > > Yep...I got it at Molbeck's.
