Guest guest
Thats good that all the monsters are all right... It would be hard for me not to attach to something that stayed at my house for any lenght of time... Let me know what the doc says tomorrow !!! Hopefully he will actually have some answers for you ) First do happen ) The girls have no fight left... This has gne on way too long... Hopefully by the end of March it will be all over with... Tell Nana I said Hi!!! YOu Both take care... ((( Goat Hugs ))) Helen ) So far all the monsters are doing well ) I'm amazed!!!!! I think Shane is finally out of his catching everything within 100 miles faze LOL THANK GOODNESS!!!!!!!! He's growing and is a happy goat now! He's always been a happy little guy but *so* sick. Nana and I find ourselves looking out of the window just watching him, amazed he has made it through all he has in his short 10 months!! I see my doctor (GP) tomorrow, should be interesting to see what he says! I have *no* idea how I handle all the animals!!!!!!!! I can handle dogs, cats, rabbits without a problem and I can understand how I manage them it's the goats and ducks and goose lol that I don't know how I handle! And ) as if 13 animals and a stray cat aren't enough 'mouths to feed' we are getting two new goats soon! Nana says we can't keep them but we will keep them here until my friend is able to take them back...she is crazy! I'm able to not get attached to animals, I had to learn how to not get attached when I was doing so much rehab stuff with birds and things back in Ca! So I know I can keep these two goats for as long as it takes, and not let myself get attached. Nana...well lol lets just say there is a 'rule' in this house made *by Nana* and that rule is "once an animal comes into this house (yard included) it is to stay" (exceptions include harm to any of the other animals or people here!) Nana is going to see the two new goats and fall in love right away and *never* be able to give them back! They are my friends goats! My friend use to own Shane's Dad. The two new goats we are getting are Queenie (Shane's half sister) and Junior (Shane's half brother) they all have the same Dad, different moms. What happened is the ice storm we had took down a lot of their trees and *really* messed up their fence! So much so that they have fixed it so many times and the goats and sheep are *still* finding holes to get out of! They can't have that so they are all going to market ( I couldn't let Shane's siblings go to market. They are also my friends *favorites* so I just can't let her lose them!!! It should be interesting because Queenie and Junior are *not* tame (they are used as stock for her border collies) so it will take me a bit of time to get them to calm down! I'll make sure to send you some pics when we get them!! Please take care of yourself and give your three little angels big hugs for me k!! I use to be the same way but i've been doing the rehab. stuff with animals back in Ca since I was about 4 years old. Once an animals was well enough I'd let it go back out where it belonged so I had to teach myself how to not get attached so it wouldn't be so hard on me when the time came to let them go. The animals I know are going to stay with us I get attached to *right* away!My doctors appointment went 'ok' I guess. I need a new G-tube but my GP knows nothing about the kind I have so I have to wait until I see my GI doctor in Feb. Today we took my two new goats to the vet clinic to get their shots and they are *very* wild. They have never been handled I was standing over one and had my knees locked around it but when Doc stuck him he jerked his head back and his horn caught my G-tube, Nana flipped out but it seems to be ok. My GP didn't have a whole lot of answers for us he did a lot of blood work and I see him again in March. I see my Pulmo on the 30th.Give your three little angels a big hug for me k!! how are you doing?!?!?! ( still peachy keen? Guest guest
Jessi-seems like moving south didn't help anyone this year. south is where they are having the worst weather as far as snow and cold or at least hear here. am sorry your pets are having their problems and hope they all get better soon. carol On Fri, 24 Jan 2003 18:47:39 -0500 "Nana" <jmducky@...> writes: Hi Helen! Guest guest
HI Carol!! ) Good to hear from you! I'm sure the monsters...ummm I mean animals ;o) will feel better soon! They are tough little guys! Out of the 15 animals 3 are considered 'high maintenance' lol! Our dog has a really bad heart murmur (lol takes after is mama LOL) one of the ducks has seizures and then there is Shane the goat kid who no one thought would make it through his first illness at 4 weeks old and is now 10 months old and holding his own really well ). Shane is the hardest because if things aren't done *just* right he goes down hill and he never shows he's sick until he is *sick* so getting him back under control is hard sometimes! It's hard, keeping track of their meds and my meds and when to give them and when to take them and who has had what and when LOL but it's worth it, since Shane and the duck would have died or been put down if we didn't take them!! I think we are all ready for some warmer weather!!!!!!!! The ducks don't mind it they are taking a bath in the pool the minute I break the ice lol but the goats aren't too happy about the snow... ) ( *)= { ~~ )Jmducky@...-Jessi "Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve."-- Lewin

Guest guest
**I think that it is so beautiful that you have such a love for the animals that despite your own physical problems you take such good care of them**Hey Carol ) truth is they do *way* more for me then I could ever be able to do for them!!! Nana and my doctor back in Ca have both noticed it, when I don't have any animals here at the house or if I can't be doing something with animals (working at the stables or animal shelter or the wild life rehab) my health goes down hill *fast*. When I have the animals to take care of, and I do get sick I fight harder at getting better and stronger so that I can take care of them again then I do when I don't have any animals! There is also nothing better at the end of a really crummy day ) then sitting outside or looking out the window and seeing the goats playing or the ducks being silly ) there are also no better listeners then animals ) and you don't have to pay them by the hour ;o)How are you doing Carol?
