Guest guest
I was going to respond to DP privately, but thought maybe there's someone on the list who's going through something similar. DP wrote: >The belching, and sometimes even having to *see the meal again* went >away completely. Well, THAT would be fabulous. Everytime I eat...anything...I belch like a truck driver. For instance, I can have a plain piece of Ezekiel bread and still feel okay. But, if I have a turkey sandwich, I feel like it's stuck in my chest and I get severe heartburn that can last 2-3 hours. Ow. So, maybe it's not just the wheat, it's combining a lean protein with grains. Maybe! (Carrots and celery make me belch, too, so I guess I'd better learn how to drive a big rig.) I agree with you about the wheat. Bad, bad wheat! My " regular medical " doctor (the one who's going to do the endoscopy) scoffs at everything I tell him about wheat intolerance. But, my osteopath wants me off of it NOW, so he'd be happy to know that I listened to him. Of course I actually felt better when I was eating Taco Bell and Carl's Jr., but that's another story. >I don't have the excess acid that Dr. D says is common to O's. After the endoscopy, I'll know more about how much acid I'm dealing with. Endoscopy's are pretty amazing...the doctor can sit there and watch your system working. If I'm coherent enough, I'm going to ask if I can watch. From what I understand, there are different digestive enzymes for different systems, correct? A certain kind for an acid-y system, and a certain kind for a system that needs more acid. > " Prescriptions for Natural Healing " , Balch & Balch, has a few >suggestions for adrenal disorders on pp 91, 92. I just read the pages you mentioned and was surprised to see that the adrenals also control water distribution in the body. I have chronic edema and if I don't keep up my lean protein intake, I get waterlogged. It's awful. Adrenals? Maybe?? And I was even MORE surprised to read that loss of body hair can be linked to underactive adrenals. Oh really?? I've been losing hair (on my head) for the past couple years. Fortunately, I have plenty to spare, but something is definitely not right with me. I really hope that when God made me, someone threw away the mold. I can't believe how many " weird things " I've had to deal with. Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, among them. Homeopathy has done wonders for my CFS/FMS, but I have other issues and I need to get to the bottom of them. I know that drastically altering my diet is good for starters, so I feel lucky to have found out about the Type O program. As soon as I started, my stomach felt so calm. Hard to explain. But then the other problems crept up so I didn't get to enjoy the " calm " for very long. Let's hope I'm on the right track and more progress can be made. I am definitely going to get more info. on adrenals. Thank you! Lynn
Guest guest
Dear Lynn: Just having a place to start looking is a bonus for most of us. What I've got isn't life threatening (gratefully), but I'd be so much happier without all this baggage. That's why I always recommend reading, reading and more reading. There's a wealth of information available to us (and more coming every day) that our parents never had. Wishing you the best in your search, /NYC
Guest guest
I didn't realise that adreneals were linked to hair loss. In that case for me when I eat wheat and dairy together it must have affected my adreneals which is probably right as I would get so cronicitilly tired and then the hair would start falling out. Other symptoms happened as well when I ate those things. I haven't eaten wheat and dairy together/at all for over a year now and my hair has gotten thicker. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
Hey folks-- It seems to me that any time I get any kind of start--we just had a small earthquake here in Portland OR for instance--my adrenaline rush is way out of proportion. Is this a sign of anything and if so how can I fix it?
