My partner has also been low carb for 3 years, eating no grains. He

-------> I agree with Hiedi on lowering calories. It is the only way

that I've been able to get my weight to come off (low carb and high

calories does not work for weight loss for me but it has made me feel

good enough to up my excercise...and excercise alone does not work

for weight loss for me either) I have to cut calories:(

I've been using a plan similar to what is in the new book Curves.

Lower the calories for short periods ( 72 hours - 1 week) then up it

to avoid a metabolism problems. I also have tyroid problems and it's

worth checking that out also. You can get an idea if it's a problem

doing a morning temp test. Here's one link to it:

It might be worth a trip to the library or bookstore to look at the

parts on metabolism and calories.

That's an interesting idea - not heard of that one. Sounds more

realistic than cutting calories to starvation mode.

Thing is, n shows no symptoms of any illness whatsoever. The

doesn't have low body temp, lethargy, fatigue, constipation,

diarrhea, anything. He is the picture of health except for being

obese!

Ok, except maybe over production of adrenalin which I've been reading

about in Schwarzbein Principle 2. That could be the issue behind his

lack of weight loss. but the schwarzbein principle is such a faff to

stick to plan!
