Guest guest
>> Did you cut back on starches to achieve this weight loss? I am healthy on NT, but I either stay the same weight or gain a few pounds -- I must be eating too much of SOMETHING... << Yes - I am following the eating plan in Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. It is a very low-carb plan, and you eat carbs in limited amounts (you start at 20 grams a day for two weeks, then work upward in 5 gram increments until you reach the level at which you stop losing weight, and then back off to the next lowest level, which he calls your " Critical Carbohydrate Level for Losing " ). You also eat only off a list of " allowed " carbs - no sugar, no grains, no high glycemic veggies. Fruits are more restricted than veggies are - for most people, berries and melon are about the only fruits low enough in carbs to be able to eat, even at the more generous carb levels that come later on.
