Guest guest
My son would not eat hardly anything for the first 14 years of life, not because of choking concerns but other OCD issues (contamination). However, I have heard of that, and it sometimes happens in much younger children than yours. They sometimes have to be tube fed so they don't starve. At least some kind of CBT can be used with a child as old as yours. Good luck with it. I know how distressing it is! Guest guest
Thanks for your support, Judy. Things seem to be getting better with Zachary, day by day. In fact, he came home from school this morning and was so proud of himself because he had eaten three little donuts! Laury
Guest guest
Laury, That's great about your son eating the three doughnuts. Isn't it amazing how excited we get over the things that so many others mothers take for granted! You must be so proud and happy for him.
