Guest guest
Have fun shopping! Get something YOU LOVE!! You're working hard...you deserve it! LU going birthday shopping DH is taking me shopping for my birthday(which isn't actually until the 27th), I'll be 32*sigh*. God, I hated turning 30 LOL...I never wanted to have to check that box that said 30-35 age group LOL...He's soooo not a good gift picker-outer. So I'm going to pick out my own. He usually gets me a slinky silky nightgown--which I have 20 of and NEVER wear, or house shoes, or my absolute favorite--a carpet shampooer ROFL. Not this year !!! I'M doing the picking out. I wanna buy new clothes, but I dunno for sure. He gave me the choice of " need or want " ,or pick out my own. HMMMMMM what could this mean?? " Need " is probably something to clean with LOL.... " want " --oh lord, what could this possibly be? He thought I WANTED those nighties, he thought I WANTED that shampooer too LOL...I don't know why, but the little gifts the boys get for me mean soooo much more. My little one(he's 7) for mothers day bought me this cheap-o $1.50 earrings from the dollar store, and I love'em. It's just that he put so much thought in it ya know. The price of things doesn't matter to me. I love going to the thrift stores(I get this from my mom lol). My mom says I'm the easiest to buy for because I don't expect expensive things for the holidays. And plus I can get more that way LOL...Well, ladies I'm outta here...have a good day I'll post tomorrow. BTW...thanks for the back exercise advice:) Tinkle

Guest guest
Happy (early) birthday, Tinkle!! I wish I were 32 again...turning 30 bothered me just a little, but turning 40 sent me on a tailspin. Now that I'm older and wiser at 41 it's not bothering me as much. Just remember...you're only as old as you feel and with all the working out and good eating you're doing you could probably put many 20-year-olds to shame! I can really relate to the gifts from your kids being your favorites. My dh bought me roses for Mothers Day and they were nice, but my 12-year-old daughter bought me carnations with her own money, my 9-year-old son picked me some daffodils and my 5-year-old son picked me dandelions....just warmed my heart. Buy something that you really, really love for your birthday. You deserve it! Guest guest
My hubby used to give terrible gifts too, but he meant well. Than he suddenly started getting really good at it. 3 Mother's days ago, I went out to get the paper and in my driveway with a huge bow was a brand new Excursion. I was floored because he is usually gives gifts like a shaver . Anyway, since that day, I always get good gifts. I usually get gift certificates to my favorite stores, for shopping. Also now thatmy kids are older, I tell them what I want and they pass it on to him Bridgette > Happy (early) birthday, Tinkle!! Guest guest
Have a great time shopping, Tink! Sounds like you should DEFINITELY pick out your own gifts, LOL! Shopping for clothes has got to be more fun now than it was a few months ago...I'm already feeling better about that myself, and looking forward to the day when shopping for jeans is fun again. Enjoy! You've worked hard to look so good, get something that makes you feel HOT! -- in ID night_wind1 wrote: >DH is taking me shopping for my birthday(which isn't actually until >the 27th), I'll be 32*sigh*. I always give Dan a list so he can't go wrong. hee hee. He says it's easier that way.
