Hi Trenda,

First of all welcome!!! You will love it here. As for being lactose

intolerant you can make shakes with water or I also buy Whey protein

powder and I make shakes with diet cranberry juice and frozen fruit

and a whole lot of ice. Yum!!! For me it would be hard to increase

in 10 lbs increments. Depending on the exercise sometimes I only go

up 2 lbs at a time. You could buy some free weights which is cheaper

than going to a gym. When I first started out I bought 5's, 8,s 10's

and 15's. Since then I have added 12s and I bought plates to add to

my 15's so I can go up to 40 in 2-1/2 lb increments. Just make sure

you can change the barbell weights fast because that minute flies by.

As for losing 100 lbs look at Pam Brown. She has a site and she is

in the success journal. There are many people who are doing back to

back Challenges in here. I know I'm thinking about my second one and

I don't even finish my firt until July 5th. Good Luck!!! You will

love BFL

Welcome! If you check out bodychangers.com or customizedphysiques.com

you'll see some amazing tranformations of all shapes and sizes.

That's the magic of BFL, it can work for anyone and everyone!

For shakes, can you use protein powder and make them with water? I

use a whey protein powder called GROW from biotest. You can get it at

netrition.com. I add 1 serving of fruit or raw oatmeal to make a

complete meal.

Hey, Trenda, I wanna tell you a " sign story " . My daughte (who is now

28) and sons had the advantage of having a wonderful teenaged girl

that was deaf for a babysitter. She would spend time by teaching them

to sign. Pretty soon all the grls in the neighborhood were doing it

(kids catch on fast)Anyway...this became a problem when the girls

(all went to the same school) would have a test....these girls got to

where they were signing like crazy all the answers back and forth to

each other. The teacher never caught on but my daughter did tell me

about it later. I wonder what she thought when all the little nine

yr olds had the same answers on the tests....

Another story....my family was in two cars to go to a company picnic

which you needed the already bought tickets for. I was driving behind

with my girlfriend and one boy..my husband was driving with my daugte

and other son...after about 45min. (it was nearly a 1 1/2 hour drive)

my daughter started to sign to me from the front car. Now...I am REAL

slow at reading letters (didn't know much besides the alphabet) so we

are going along and I finally " get it " .. " Do you have the tickets? " ..I

sign back slowly " No, I thought YOU did " ...we pull over and sure

enough the tickets were left at home...my friend and I went back for

them and saved alot of hassle than if we would have driven all the

way only to come back....Over the years I have really appreciated

that sweet babysitter...she offered a whole new language to my

kids....

I thought my friend and I were the only ones that did that :) In

high school, my best friend and I would share the answers to our

German vocabulary test by signing a, b, c or d.

Hi!

Yes, I am an interpreter in Wisconsin. Small world, hey? I just met Aimee

here last week who works out like, 3 buildings from where I work. How long

have you been interpreting? I graduated ITP in 1989 and have been doing it

since. I work at a technical college and freelance on the side. How about

you? How did you choose interpreting? I did because I have deaf family.

Take care and hope to hear from you!
