Guest guest
I left my mold house, and put all of my belongings in storage, except for my fairly new desktop computer, which currently resides in my dad's garage. I tried to use it for a while to do freelance work, and keep money coming in, but found myself reacting to it a little too much, which seemed to increase over time. I did many hotel hops, discarding things as I went, and when I felt I was somewhat free of the mold spores, I purchased a laptop. I made the mistake of inserting a contaminated CD from my Dad's garage into my laptop, to install software I needed, and, voila, my laptop is now contaminated. I was also very careful not to bring my laptop into the garage. (It could also be due to low-level contamination being sucked through the fan, or possibly the mold gets an electrical charge and emits the toxin, not sure.) I've taken off the back cover, and tried to clean it many times without much luck. But did find a bunch of black/white fuzzy stuff when cleaning the fan with Qtips. Also tried this spray cleaner designed for electrical devices. Not sure at this point if my laptop is capable of contaminating my apartment, even though it has never in my mold house!!! Something to consider. Am I becoming more sensitive? Or is the mold just relentless? Just a warning to be VERY careful, and double think everything you do three times, or, better yet, have someone not affected by the mold/mycotoxins to triple think it for you first... This stuff is so incredible! Jules
Guest guest
Hi all - I am also interested in this. If you respond, can you please copy me in your response? Thanks!! Guest guest
> As far a Laptops on batteries are concerned I get a reaction wether its on > battery or mains. Yes, I do as well. While Shivani is correct that using it with a battery avoids bringing in noise from the AC power lines and the laptop's AC/DC transformer, you still have the noise from inverter which powers the florescent backlight. These days, there are an increasing number of laptops which replace the florescent backlight with LEDs. These laptops (presumably) don't have an inverter, and may be (or may not) be easier to tolerate. Marc
