i'm very sorry to hear about your daughters mesenteric adenitis,

kelly......OMG, this has to stop, this nightmare of ours! i have horrible

pains over my kidneys, which sometimes radiates up my scapula (shoulder

blades) & rarely, though, comes around the front somewhat.....as of yet, no

doc has diagnosed this problem at allllllllllll. i KNOW its due to the

molds, but proving it, is quite another story.

research, kelly, but the milk thistle helps me ........VERY MUCH!

take care, & God bless,

victoria

Thank you ,

I will have to start researching milk thistle today. I am wondering however

if tea is okay. I have found it in pill form, but because pills seem to be

hard to digest for her I have to try and stay with liquid stuff.

I am sorry to hear about your pain also. Its horrible to know there is

something wrong and the doctors cannot find it.

My daughter has been in the hospital so many times. Had every test, x-ray

and so forth done. That I had had enough. They told me they didn't do CAT

scans on kids because of the radiation. This I understand, but geez I

wanted to know what was wrong with her. So, I told him either do it, or we

would not leave the hospital until they did it. I said that there is

something definitely wrong with her and this might be the only answer to

find out what it was, since it is her stomach. Finally, after 3 hours of

the argument and refusing to sign her out they did it. He did commend me

however for fighting for her. If they would not have done it, we would not

know what was wrong.

My thought was, I understand the radiation part of it. But, she is so

sick-alittle radiation is better than not knowing what is wrong. Atleast

now, we can understand why she goes thru all of this sickness and try to fix

it.

She cannot eat meat, raw veggies and fruit, spaghetti, chili, (spicy foods,

acidic foods), orange juice, any type of pill, rich foods (like chocolate,

ice cream), she cannot miss a meal, and needs snacks in between, she has to

get 10 hours of sleep, no strenuous exercise or play, medicine is the

hardest of all, it basically all makes her sick. They did however give her

some kind of dissolving pill for her stomach. So far, she has taken it 4

times and the symptoms have gotten better, the pain is still there, but no

throwing up, or diarrhea. If there is something that upsets her it triggers

the symptoms. If there is a test at school, or something that gets her

nerves excited she gets sick. It just seems that if she could just lay in a

bed, not talk, and just eat cream of potatoes soup it would all be good.

Funny though, my son is basically pretty healthy. It's weird how one child

coming out of the same environment, with the same exact symptoms can react

differently than their sibling.

I hope they can find what it wrong with you. Even if there is no

medical cure, you could atleast try to treat the symptoms, find out what can

make it feel better, or makes it worse. You are right this has to stop.

Think about it, we are just 2 families with problems. We here on the board

atleast are aware and have knowledge of mold. While others sit sick at

home, not knowing why they are sick, doctors telling them nothing is wrong,

while in horrific pain, or enduring illnesses that don't go away.

I feel fortunate enough to atleast " be in the know. " To also have wonderful

people on this board that know also, and understand. For that I am thankful

everyday. Also, that all us here atleast made it out alive, even with the

illnesses, pain and suffering. Some are not as fortunate.

Take care,

Thank goodness for your persistance girl, good going. You know if

you didn't continue with the determination that you have, not only

for yourself, but mainly for your children, the next diagnosis you

would have had from these doctors would be " hypochondriac " or worse

because the doctor wasn't diligent enough to continue his

examination. I can understand this diagnosis for some of us, because

they don't understand and they don't have the answers for more than

3 symptoms, but I can't understand this when it comes to children.

How and why would they be making this stuff up?

I did a little bit of research myself last nite , even though I

didn't get back with you (late) I am so sorry you are having to deal

with this now too, but at least you have an answer and that's half

the battle. This illness acute mesenteric adenitis there is

definately one thing that I do not understand, why does this seem to

occur after a battle or two of upper respiratory infections,

according to research, several that I had read. This just seems to

be very odd and since many of us are dealing with inflammation of

the lymph nodes everywhere else, why not in that location also. I

was looking at some x-rays last night on just this and these type of

pains seem like they could be misdiagnosed in females for these

reason (and I'm not only speaking of your daughter , but many

others that have had pain in that area) adhesions, ovaries, of

course appendix, gall bladder, but what they did show was about 5

swollen lymph nodes that were retaining fluid.

As far as milk thistle, with the positive results that many have had

on this board, again it is great for the liver and kidneys, I don't

know if it would help this or these pains. But as well as it works,

it surely couldn't hurt.

, please keep us informed.

We finally got her a multi-vitamin with enzymes in it,(liquid) which

she has taken for 3 days now, and she has not gotten sick. This

after about 15 different vitamins.
