Guest guest
LOL Kathi, I guess we're all different. I guess I'm as turned off by free day as you are by not having one. The thought of ice cream or candy, cookies, or pizza gives me the creeps like " oh man I'm eating poison. " I'm sure it's purely a psychological thing. My idea of free day is 50 pieces of boiled shrimp at the Chinese buffet lol. You succeed by doing what works for you. I'd never recommend that anyone else give up free day unless it affected them the way it does me. Stasia
Guest guest
Stasia: I feel the same way you do. I stopped taking free days a long time ago. It would take my body a couple days to recover and I'd spend the whole night sick in the bathroom! My results really took off too. And I've never looked back. It's good to hear someone else feels the same way, because most of my friends poke fun at me for always eating clean and never being tempted by greasy or sugary foods!! Guest guest
They tend to make me sick too. And my body holds so much water for the next day or so. Yuck! But if there is something I have been wanting all week, I will eat. Like yesterday I had the stuffed french toast from IHOP. It was so good, but 20 min later, I was in pain! LOL! Guest guest
I so wish I could get to a point where I don't crave sweets and junk. But that's never, ever happened, not even after I was on BFL for years. I'm envious of those who don't take a free day because it makes them sick just thinking about it. I don't take one because it sets me off on a weekend-long binge and compromises my results. I can eat upwards of 10,000 cals during one day; that pretty much wipes the calorie deficit clean. Free day is definitely not a good idea for those who've had eating disorders in the past. Dani > LOL Kathi, I guess we're all different. Guest guest
Sometimes if I smell something like that(the french toast) it makes me want to eat it. In that case I apply the AA or drug addiction principles, it's really a hoot. I will either call someone(no kidding, " uh, I feel like cheating please talk me out of it " ) or I will wait five minutes to see if the craving goes away. Usually it does because five minutes is all it takes for one of my kids to want me to do something and the window of opportunity has passed. Whew. Guest guest
I gotta have my free day! Mine is also today. I have found that if I do a 20 minute cardio the morning of my free day I feel much better throughout the day. I used to go buck wild but now I just eat food I enjoy..tonight we are having lobster risotto! Nevertheless, I do end up in the bathroom the next day with an upset stomach. Amazing how sensitive the body is when you feed it well throughout the week! Cali > > LOL Kathi, I guess we're all different. I guess I'm as turned off > by > > free day as you are by not having one.
