I've lost weight in the past and I've seen a lot of others do so, as well.

I've also seen a lot of spouses who become insanely jealous of their now

gorgeous loved one, to the point that it almost makes the one who lost

weight, go back to gaining weight just to please the other! How sad!

I've also seen those who have lost weight who become so " stuck " on

themselves it's sickening! They all of a sudden become so the sexiest

woman/man on earth and become so conceited, it makes you want to run the

other way when you see them!

Develping a good image of our bodies is great, I think, as long as we don't

overdo it and become obnoxious with it!

As far as those who try to sabbotage the success of others, I feel bad for

them. They don't have enough confidence in themselves to just enjoy the

success with their partner for fear that someone might " steal " that partner

away!! OMG!!!

So, for those of us who lose weight and start looking good, let's be happy

about it, but don't become obnoxious about it.

For those of us who have a fear that our spouse/loved one might look so good

that someone else will want them....let it go! If that loved one is not

strong enough to stay with the one that loves them and not let something

like weight loss ruin their relationship, then let someone else have them!

I've seen this happen so many times, and I wonder if people really know what

they are doing when they become this " bombshell " and suddenly just HAVE to

get divorced from the NOW JERK they live with! They guy/gal wasn't a jerk

when you were fat were they???? So why now?

For me, I just want to feel good about myself. I want to look in the mirror

and be proud of what I see. I want to be able to run with my grandkids and

not become so out of breath that I feel as if my chest is going to cave in!

I want to chase my grandkids without feeling like all the fat that is

swaying back and forth isn't going to knock me out!!! :)

I want to wake up in the morning, go take a shower, and walk back in the

bedroom and have my sweety pie say " DAMN Girl! You Look Good!!! " I want him

to be as proud of me as I will be! That's all. And if he isn't, that's HIS

problem, not mine!

Sorry -- needed to vent! LOL LOL

-- how many husbands are into sabotage?

Mine gets terrified when I diet and he sees results.

Take this weekend. He comes home with lunch for me--a steak

sandwich, extra cheese.

Um...?

I asked him what his problem was, he knows I'm dieting. He also

knows that I've been LACTOSE INTOLERANT SINCE BEFORE WE MET! Talk

about obvious!

His answer?

" Well you eat dairy when it suits you. "

I do?

Ok, name the last time I had ice cream.

When have I ever had a cream sauce or a cheese sauce?

How many people in this house use soy milk in cereal?

HELLLLLllllllooooo?

Well my husband doesn't do that, but a few of my friends do. They

make fun of me ordering at a restaurant or bringing my MRB to the

movies, but I just figure they are envious and worried aour

relationship will change (which is has) I no longer share M & M in a

large tub of popcorn with them.

My husband knows better because he knows I don't mind feeding the

trash can so he doesn't bother. My friends are always offering me

food but all I ever say is no thanks. Most of the time I'm chewing

gum and say no, I've got gum right now. They should know by now that

I'm not gonna eat that stuff. I too cram an apple and a protein bar

into my bag and smuggle it into the movies. Saves a bundle of money

that way too.

My hubby has gotten MUCH better :) He will even ask when my " free

day " is, so he can cook out for me :) Although he's still a little

(not sure what word here) jealous of the fact that I can beat him arm

wrestling LOL...When he goes to the store, he's sure to pick up my

authorized food. He does the grocery shopping(I know--it's wierd),

but I CANNOT be trusted. I'm such an impulse shopper, he's not. So I

make the list, he gets what's on it, and nothing else LOL. About a

week ago I was so down on my self, I had done my measurements, and

some of them had increased, so I was totally bummed out. I threw

myself on my bed, swearing that I was a fat loser, and that I was

gonna quit BFL, and just stay fat LOL....HE was the one that told me

how good I was doing, and that he wasn't gonna let me quit. I felt

better after that :) He has realized how important this is to me, and

the realationship(not just ours, but with the kids too ). You know

what they say:

" If momma ain't happy---Ain't NOBODY happy "

So, if I'm happy and content with myself, everybody's happy :)

My husband did it once and only once <G>. Although he was trying to

be nice, not necessarly sabotage me. I sat him down and told him how

much this program really meant to me phsyically, mentally,

emotionally and that as much as I appreciated the thought, a loaded

burrito from Taco Bell was not the best choice on a non-free day. I

printed up a list of food items from fast food restaurants for him so

if he should so desire to pick me something up, he knows exactly what

I can eat. Now, he knows Saturday is my free day and usually just

brings food home on free days.

My hubby is actually VERY encouraging on this. He started back into

working out a couple months ago after a 10 year hiatus. He actually

reminds me to pack my gym bag the night before, helps with menus, and

works on the kids to cooperate. What a man.

OH....btw.......I am the other BJ on the board, slacker poster is

what I am. Guess I will go by Beej so we don't get to confused.

have a great day!!!!

Well add another one to the list. Mine is usually very supportive

and encouraging on my other challange attempts. This is my third

time trying to complete a challange and I am more dedicated and

motivated than ever. I think he can sense this and he is begining to

feel threatened by it. This morning he made miss my cardio workout

in the morning. I was so upset! I will try to make up for it by

walking on my lunch hour. I have a very tight schedule and its not

easy to make time for myself. Well I just wanted to share. Good

luck ladies.
