Hi all Had a question about paxil and depression. My 9 yr old son has

been on paxil for about 2 months, 20 mg. But since school has started he has

been getting more and more depressed, he tells his teacher that he is lonely

and bored. When he gets in these episodes he says that his OCD tells him

that he has to be alone and has to go somewhere high. So, he has been

getting the ladder and going up on my patio roof-about 10 ft high. So, we

ended up locking up the ladders, hes done this 3-4 times this week, I'm so

afraid that he will jump or something. Hes also waking up at weird hours in

the am and staying up, til hes raedy to got to school. Yesterday his bug

died and he had got the ladder-before we locked them up -and he was on the

roof, just crying and screaming-I had never seeen him like this. And when my

older son tried to go up, to get him, he just ran on the main roof--its a

good thing we live in the country and have few neighbors, the cops would

have been called had we lived in the city. So he came down and we talked and

he said he had a bad day at school. I called his dr and am waiting to hear

from him today, don't think the paxil is working or it needs to go up. I

hate the storm, thanks for listening Nellie
