Guest guest
Would I need the dry container to make Coconut Butter from coconut flakes in the vitamix? also do you get the same benefits from the butter as you get from the oil? Thank you > > Hi: I read throught the link about coconut butter (oil) and I am a little confused. I wanted to try it before I decided to try to make it myself. Anyway, I found 2 kinds in the organic section. I purchased the one that is unrefined for medium heat. (the other one was refined and for high heat.) But I guess I am confused. Should I have looked for butter not oil? Can this oil be added to a cold smoothie? I am hoping to get some health benefits from it. (Mostly some needed energy) Thank you in advance. >
Guest guest
No - it is made (like nut butters) in the wet container.I've begun adding in a lot of coconut oil when I make my coconut butter because it is the coconut oil that has most of the benefits. But there are a LOT of benefits from coconut flakes as well (think added fiber :-) So I don't stress over it. I can eat SO MUCH MORE coconut butter than I'd ever eat the oil. In fact, I can OD on the coconut butter, but NEVER OD'ed on the oil :-) Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Jan 15, 2012, at 1:15 PM, sparky_89_99@... wrote: Would I need the dry container to make Coconut Butter from coconut flakes in the vitamix? also do you get the same benefits from the butter as you get from the oil?
