Guest guest
Recently I decided to try some soaked chia in smoothies and quickly discovered it's tendency to stick to the side of the container. Also discovered that a quick rinse with cool water right before I add the ingredients solved the problem.....container has no 'gumballs' to fiddle with cleaning out. I'm still using a 40+ year old machine with the metal container (so much for them not holding up!) so I've not tested the rinse-treament on the newer container, but it's cheap, fast, and easy to try.. Guest guest
The chia seeds (soaked) don't stick to my polycarbonate container, but that's good info. Guest guest
Chia seeds also make a wonderful egg substitute, for those allergic to eggs or if you are out of them and need them in a recipe-they gel up to the exact consistency of an egg (as do flax seeds and tapioca pearls) > > > What a chia seeds good for? > I've heard about them but can't remember their benefit. > Thanks. > Sue >
