Good point, n! I have been calling around to clubs today but I

think I would rather amass my own weights at home. I am too nervous

about flexing in front of people at this point. Maybe when I am

ripped and tan I will! :)

Have a super weekend!

that you start. No reason to put it off till Monday if you're ready

to go. GO FOT IT! I actually kinda like it that I started on a

Wednesday because before I know it I am in the next week, when it's

the middle of the week I don't even realize and it seems like the

days go by a bit faster because I am not counting them and paying

attention quite as much. Just my thoughts.

Good for you for starting right away. I think that so often we tell

ourselves (in past lives anyway), " I'll start on Monday " and then we

goof a little and blow the whole week and then " I'll start on

Monday " . I think you did great for jumping right in there!

How is that Energy magazine? I've heard some great things about it

but haven't had a chance to check one out.

Colleen, who's never been accused of being normal either :)

I have done that too many times in the past...I'll start Monday when

I'm feeling the motivation today! :) I am a terrible procrastinator!

Energy is pretty good. It seems as though it doesn't focus only on

exercise. In the June issue there is an article on shopping

strategies, learning to love your body (which is something so many of

us can use), " below the belt " health and success stories. I also

really like Fitness magazine.

How has your journey been? How long have you been doing it?

I've been into fitness and diet for years, but this is the first time

that I've made the mental connection and this is the easiest program

I've found. I like the balance of exercise and diet and love that

free day :) Right now I'm coming back after a few months off from 2

car accidents and am ending week 5.

I subscribe to Energy mag and get it sent over from the US. I

really, really like it. I have about 3 copies, plus about 5 Muscle

and Fitness Hers - I was saving them up when pregnant to read after!

-Are you still pregnant? :) I gained about 50 with my pregnancy and

a lot of it was due to toxemia. I was super stressed last year and

lost 25 in about 3 weeks and have gained back about 10 of it. I just

want to be healthy and fit and have my little boy's friends comment

that his mom is a hottie!

No, thankfully! I hated it. I gained 112 pounds during my

pregnancy. I had morning (year right, all day more like) sickness

throughout and the only way to feel better was eat carbs every

couple of hours. I then developed underactive thyroid, which I am

still fighting with but it is on the increase (note to self - make

an appointment to get that re-checked).

I have a son, Oliver Zack, born on 24th January by emergency c-

section. I have lost 63 pounds already (wow!) but have a fair way

to go!

I agree - I want Ollie's friends to think I'm a babe!

Wow! Good for you! Mine is almost two and he too was born by c-

section. That was after 2 1/2 hours of pushing and 32 hours of

labor. The doctor finally figured out that the child's head was too

darn big! He still looks like Mr. Microphone, but he's cute and I

love him! Good luck to you!!

Good luck to you too! I had 5 days' failed induction attempts.

They even sent me home halfway through and told me to come back 2

days later! It was hell and I hated every minute from pregnancy

to " birth " (apart from conception - that bit was fun, LOL!),

although Motherhood is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

-Agreed! I love being a mom! I was nearly the same...I hated being

pregnant. I had kidney stones, that awful PUPPS rash and then the

toxemia. I was induced after I started labor on my own so it was an

total of 47 hours...32 of it induced. My bed broke and I was trapped

4 feet off the ground and had to be transferred to a new bed (yeah,

try to move a 192 pound woman who already has an epidural and can't

really help out). It became comedic after a while! :)

I really enjoy him now, though and I hope to get into shape so I

won't get tired chasing him around! He's a delight. Congratulations

on yours!
