Guest guest
Just returned from checking on summer school for . While I was there i was stopped by 2 of his instructors. They each said separately what an improved student was this second semester. Although they knew he was challenged academically, they both said -what a joy to have him in class; and how well behaved he had become. These are teachers with whom I had spoken when I was able to [later than I had wanted to but as soon as I could manage it personally]. After speaking with them earlier this school year, I could tell by 's telling me how much more interesting these 2 classes were that they had made an extra effort to deal with in a more caring way. I thanked each of them and told them that I had planned to send them each a note to tell them how much I appreciated their extra effort and what a difference it had made im 's attitude but was very happy to give them my thanks personally then. Unfortunately, not every instructor I spoke with responded as well as these two and at least one more did. 's grades and attitudes are suffering in the classes where the instructors did not seem to care about LD kids, let alone as a real person. The first thing I did in returning home was to tell in no uncertain terms, how proud he had made me and how proud he should feel about himself!
