Hi Butch,

No, I have not read this book. Perhaps I will be able to get to it in the

near future. I just love essential oils and soaking up information about them.

Sydney

I hope one of them is Watt's " Plant Aromatics " . Y'all keep smiling,

Hi Sydney,

Actually, there are NO Essential Oils that can be used safely that way.

That is to say, unless you are lucky. Too many people are believers of

the urban rumor common in AT that Lavenders and Tea Tree can be used

safely .. but I can give you a list of names of folks who have become

sensitized to both - and there is one lady on this list who can attest

to her sensitization to Lavender.

I hope one of them is Watt's " Plant Aromatics " . It provides the

references for tests conducted by reputable international organizations

on what percentages of dilution have been tested and determined can be

safely used without the likelyhood of irritation, sensitization and

toxicity. Even then, we have to look at those results as a norm rather

than a guarantee because some folks have immune systems that might not

react in the same manner as other folks - and it is the immune system

that determines whether one will become sensitized or not ... :-(
