Guest guest
Thanks for the heads up Tom. I've looked locally, but only really old ones show up (so far). Even at $680 it is too much for me considering I get the same kind of juice (or better) using my Vitamix and my nut milk bag. Now that I have my Hamilton Beach Citrus Press to get the LAST TINY DROP out of the pulp, I'm all set. I just finished an ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS "Cold Green Soup" which contained the juice of a pound of Greens! Guest guest
I watched a pathetic YouTube video today where this woman is complaining juicing in a Breville and Blendtec. I had to turn it off half way through it was so bad but the point I gathered from this is that you have to water down blended vegetables to the point that they are tasteless. Is that your experience? Guest guest
Hi Lea Ann,What model of the Hamilton Beach Citrus Press do you have? I might consider getting one myself instead of buying a pricey juicer since I have a Vitamix already. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
I watched that video yesterday. I thought she should have put the juice from the juicer into the blendtec as the liquid she needed and then she would have had a full flavor smoothie. I also was not able to watch the whole thing... ~katrat > > I watched a pathetic YouTube video today where this woman is complaining > juicing in a Breville and Blendtec. Guest guest
Robin I chose the Vitamix because I think consuming the fiber is as if not more important than consuming the juice.  I do believe it would be great to add the juice to the Vitamix instead of another liquid but I am not positive it is worth the extra expense of a juicer at this time. Guest guest
you know I've seen those juice presses all the time at yard sales and antique malls. I bet a good vintage one can be had for $25. or so if not less. maybe check out Craigslist. I'm going to pick up the next one I find for using with the nut bag and my VM for juicing. Excellent resource for extracting every drop of juice from the pulp. I am still hand squeezing my nut milk bag and even used a rolling pin a few times. I add the juice to a smoothie with the pulp and get the best of juicing and smoothie
Guest guest
I find that I have to hand squeeze a lot, and only use the citrus press to get the LAST DROPS - BUT after my hands can't get anymore, the press gets another 4 ounces or so (and this is the richest juice)!
