Guest guest
Hello, I've been trying to catch this episode since I first heard about it, but never did . . . finally, some advance notice. It airs at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time and I think, 6:00 p.m. Central -- other than that, I don't know. This is from the website for the show: Next Episode: Sunday, Jan. 15, 7/6c " Kirkwood Family " Thanks to a determined little girl, a family whose house is overtaken by a hazardous black mold will receive a new home designed by Ty and the gang of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, in two back-to- back episodes. Guest guest
Next Episode: Sunday, Jan. 15, 7/6c " Kirkwood Family " Thanks to a determined little girl, a family whose house is overtaken by a hazardous black mold will receive a new home designed by Ty and the gang of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, in two back- to- back episodes. Well, I got to see it, and it really makes people with mold illness look like idiots. They showed the property being swarmed by at least twenty five fully garbed HAZMAT remediators acting like the Keystone cops, bumping into each other, crawling under bushes and picking mushrooms on the lawn. The area was taped off and guarded by appeared to be soldiers with weapons. The " makeover " host joked, " if we go through, what are they going to do? Shoot us? " He also said the remediator knew everything about mold, and to prove it the remediator threw out a few impressive names, mostly mispronounced and one mold he mentioned was " Penicillin " . The entire building was demolished, and they described the measures necessary to keep down the toxic spores from spreading - but immediately after the rubble was heaped up by a tractor, they had a big party with people mixing and milling around with the HAZMAT team and hugging each other to show that how ridiculous it was to have pretended to treat this problem as though it were a toxic trash heap. Anybody who watched this would probably have to conclude that the makeover team had demonstrated that severe mold illness was shown to be a farce, and not to be taken seriously. -
