Guest guest
Great doctor, sounds like she cares. I banged my big toe on the bottom of my couch while cleaning and it fell off. It grew back and looked ugly. My regular doctor suggested the drug approach for fungus. I went to a foot specialist and he laughed and said that the damaged toenail grew back as a Ram toenail. He took it off (very easily) and that was that. It grew back much smaller. I agree with the caution on drugs. Our liver has to handle whatever drug we use. Back in '84 my friend and I were hit by a semi truck....after 13 operations on my face, hundreds of needles filled with steroids, pain killers, anti depressants etc.....the one thing that helped me was a Doctor in North Vancouver at the Thorton Pain Clinic who taught me how to deal with pain, lack of sleep, by " Breathing " . She gave me a fabulous relaxation tape which coupled with knowing the proper way to breath, has drastically reduced my Tylenol three's intake from 100 a week, to 100 every 6 to 8 months. On the topic of Doctor Prescribed Chemical Medications.... on Thursday June 28th I went for a check up with my family doctor....she had told me, that in the 45 days since she has prescribed a drug " pms-TERBINAFINE " (its a drug to help rid your fingernails and toe nails of that icky fungus that eats away at them) - that over 120 people have reportedly come down with extream LIVER FAILURE and out of that 120 *reported* people, over 60% of them have died as a result of no liver donors. She also went on to say that the American Medical Case studies have shown the dangers of many Anti Depressants - some (cant remember the names sorry) have killed more people then the Terbinafine medication I was on - in the 45 days since I have see my Doc last. She then went on to *obviously* tell me she will not prescribe the pms-TERBINAFINE to me or any patient anymore (she wrote up a cream prescription) & said to get lots of sleep, eat lots of fruits and veggies (what you put into your body affects your outer body, mind and spirit), keep studying the Feng Shui books she told me about (believe me this really REALLY helps), keep up with my breathing exercises, and keep up with my physical exercises. The Feng Shui advice works wonders for sleep. (i.e.: I changed my bedroom around to support a Feng Shui rule and now I dream like an angel *L*) Also....and this sounds funky, but I spritz Orange Essential Oil around my house (not to mention clean constantly with it and do my laundry with it) and the smell totally lifts my spirits. Hope some of this helps. We don't NEED all these harmful drugs in our bodies to make us well...... Happy Soaping, & The Soap Goat Crew. Check out our Pre-Buy & Fast Buys for ultra super $$avings. Guest guest
Dear , This is really wild: drugs meant to help people killing them! Isn't part of the Hippocratic Oath along the lines of " if I can do no good then at least to do no harm " ? Thank goodness your Dr is on the ball. Our GP told me my daughter's problem was her body's way of telling her to slow down: this is the girl who used to run to school because she liked to run! Huh. I too would like to hear more about these medications: is ther a website we can go to? Thank you! Blessings, Donna B. wrote: > I totally second Beths comment about " Breathing " helps. > Back in '84 my friend and I were hit by a semi truck....after 13 > operations > on my face, hundreds of needles filled with steroids, pain killers, anti > depressants etc.....the one thing that helped me was a Doctor in North > Vancouver at the Thorton Pain Clinic who taught me how to deal with pain, > lack of sleep, by " Breathing " . > She gave me a fabulous relaxation tape which coupled with knowing the > proper > way to breath, has drastically reduced my Tylenol three's intake from 100 > a > week, to 100 every 6 to 8 months. > > On the topic of Doctor Prescribed Chemical Medications.... > on Thursday June 28th I went for a check up with my family doctor....she > had > told me, that in the 45 days since she has prescribed a drug > " pms-TERBINAFINE " (its a drug to help rid your fingernails and toe nails > of > that icky fungus that eats away at them) - that over 120 people have > reportedly come down with extream LIVER FAILURE and out of that 120 > *reported* people, over 60% of them have died as a result of no liver > donors. > > She also went on to say that the American Medical Case studies have shown > the dangers of many Anti Depressants - some (cant remember the names > sorry) > have killed more people then the Terbinafine medication I was on - in the > 45 > days since I have see my Doc last. >
Guest guest
Hi Liz, Good to hear you have found some relief. One point that I would like to share tho' is for people that doen't know too much about the E/Os--be really carefull of it straight--and one of them is the Sweet Orange, I spilt a little bit while measuring one day and could not believe, it started eating up the plastic on the top of my scales-WOW, was I surprised!! I know you have to be careful of some of them but I sure didn't thing it was going to do that...now the top of my scale is all rough and eaten-up. It wasn't much oil either, just some that had dribbled down the outside of the cup...Check them out everyone as these are very powerful oils.....Happy soaping..@:-))
