Guest guest
Cool. Thanks, ! > OMG, I just had the best treat! A piece of toasted 7-grain bread with cottage cheese and raspberry All Fruit. Toast the bread, glop on a thick layer of cottage cheese, blop the jam on top. Heaven! It's nearly protein/carb balanced and totally took care of those pesky, danish, bagel, jelly donut cravings... for the next 15 minutes or so anyway. ;-) > > I used an 80 cal (17g carb) piece of bread and a 90 cal (14g pro) serving of cottage cheese. Guest guest
I have never in my life eaten cottage cheese...but I swear I hate it LOL. I see alot of recipes with cottage cheese in it, and am dying to try some of them. Is it one of those things that you have to acquire a taste for? I don't like yogurt either(it's the smell that gets me, I've never tried it though)I'm kinda wierd like that I guess. I gotta find something else on the protein list besides chicken, tuna, salmon and egg whites that I like. Tinkle > > OMG, I just had the best treat! Guest guest
I have never been a cottage cheese fan, but now I like it. I sweeten it with splenda. and add fruit. When you add some lemon juice and splenda and throw it in the blender until the curds are gone it whips up to be puffier and so you feel like you get to eat more. It kindof reminds me of cheesecake that way Try it as a last meal of the day I also eat it with a baby spoon so it lasts longer. Sounds wierd (LOL), but it works for me!!!! Guest guest
The big tip about cottage cheese is that no two brands taste even remotely alike. I didn't know that, so I just thought that I hated cottage cheese. Try some different brands. There's probably one or two that you'll love. I use 2% or A & E. Those may be Midwestern brands. I've heard other people rave about Breakstone or Knudson's (sp?) Re: BFL Danish... almost I have never in my life eaten cottage cheese...but I swear I hate it LOL. Guest guest
--- I didn't start BFL three years ago because I didn't think I could eat cottage cheese. Now I eat Breakstone and it's okay. I can't eat any other brand though. It's not fat free, it's 2%, but I can live with it. Guest guest
I think that cottage cheese is like duct tape ... there a million ways to use it. I tried this for M6 today ... yummy ... makes a good bedtime snack because it is easy and satisfies that end of the day sweet urge that I get. Ann > OMG, I just had the best treat!
