Bob,

You mentioned you had Rocephin by IV. Did that help

your cough?

I'm asking, because I never heard of Rocephin, and

I've had a persistant cough for at least 3 years from

living in this mold-infested builidng, and nothing

I've taken, has helped. I use a nebulizer with

Albuterol 3 to 4 times a day, but even that will not

loosen up the mucous. I cough throughout the day -

sometimes really bad coughing spells, but am

especially bad in the morning when I first get up.

Spend at least half an hour or longer coughing, but

can not bring up any mucous - only spit up saliva.

Sometimes I cough so much, I actually throw up, but

even then, I cannot bring up any mucous.

In fact, 2 years ago when I was hospitalized with

Pneumonia, they gave me a cup in the ER and wanted me

to spit the mucous in it so they could send it to the

lab, but nothing would come up, and they were shocked

I couldn't get it up, because the cough is so deep in

my chest.

Any info. you could give me about Rocephin would be

appreciated.

Yes it did. I recently read a book on Lyme Disease and it mentioned to use

Rocephin IV's for the type of Lyme Disease which had neurological symptoms and I

had been wanting to try it anyway. It did help my cough.
