Guest guest
Would anyone be interested in perhaps joining together to buy some things we all could use in quantity to get lower prices? What I was thinking about were nutrients like alpha-lipoic acid, n-acetyl-cysteine, acetyl-l-carnitine, phenylalanine, bulk cholestyramine (if its possible to do it legally, since its Rx) etc. The reason is that a lot of these things are available in the equivalent of 55 gallon drums from China, etc. at vastly reduced prices per kilo.. You can end up paying a tiny fraction of what they would cost in health food stores.. This would make taking effective doses of them much more affordable for low-income people.. They really help.. This could really make a difference for people. Even before I knew that it was mold that was poisoning me, I knew something was poisoning me, and my recovery began when I decided to get serious about fighting that unseen enemy with wide-spectrum antitoxicant nutrition.. But people living in small towns probably couldn't even find these things except for online, and even online, bought in pill form, at that typical huge markup, they can be expensive in the kinds of quantities people like us should take them in.. So a buying club is the only way.. a non-profit buying club..

We'd have to know the purity of the products and also the potency/strength of the products to be able to tell the co-op buyers how much to take per day; such as 500mg, date of manufacture, etc. Second 55 gallon drums is a huge amount and I doubt you could find enough people to join a buying club to consume 55 gallons since all these supplements/chemicals have a self-life of 2-3 years maximum and only a gram or so a day is needed. Oxidation would be an issue with such a large volume of material and you would have to repackage, encapsulate or something to preserve the integrity of the supplements/chemicals. You would also have to pay heavy import duties and the shipping would be very high. Then having to find a safe storage for these products in such huge amounts, a clean place to repackage them and would they be put into capsules or resold in bulk form? Some such as alpha lipoic acid are very difficult to take without a capsule. I've done this with my clients (let's say those who needed to save money) but I always purchased from high quality, respectable corporations in the U.S. that can provide lab analysis of the products, potency, self-life, etc. ..>>>>>They really help.. That's not currently a requirement, however it is in the pipeline and it will make these things more expensive. Currently, they often do come with certificates of analysis from their manufacturers.. (typically the results of HPLC) We'd have to know the > purity of the products and also the potency/strength of the products to be > able to tell the co-op buyers how much to take per day; such as 500mg, date > of manufacture, etc. I think that it would be better, legally, to tell them to do their own research or not to patronize the buying club. Second 55 gallon drums is a huge amount and I doubt > you could find enough people to join a buying club to consume 55 gallons > since all these supplements/chemicals have a self-life of 2-3 years maximum > and only a gram or so a day is needed. The cost savings is so great, they could buy what they could afford and throw the extra away after three years and still come out way ahead.. Vacumn packing in bags and you could also sell gelatin capsules in various sizes and small scales, etc. You > would also have to pay heavy import duties I wasn't aware of this. In most cases, import duties are a thing of the past. Where do you think most supplement companies get their supplies? and the shipping would be very > high. Again, it would be cheaper than paying vitamin markups.. Then having to find a safe storage for these products in such huge > amounts, a clean place to repackage them and would they be put into capsules > or resold in bulk form? Factories exist that do 'small jobs' for small supplement companies. When you go into a health food store, you see zillions of different brands. Very, very few of those brands actually have their own factories (only the biggest) The rest contract with these B2B suppliers who offer them mixing and packaging, climate controlled storage, labelling, liability insurance, etc. In fact, many, perhaps most of the supplement companies whose products you see in stores have only the barest aspects of a physical address, if they do at all. I have heard of companies that basically have ten or twenty 'brands' and each one is basically a phone number.. Kind of like Abramoff's 'grassroots activist groups' (like " Concerned Mothers For Moldy Schools " ) where they would have a drawer with ten phones in it with a name label on each one and a light that would light up when it was ringing so the 'deceptionist' would know what name to use when answering the phone.. > who needed to save money) but I always purchased from high quality, > respectable corporations in the U.S. that can provide lab analysis of the > products, potency, self-life, etc. > I think it makes more sense to purchase from even more accountable, reliable, established VITAMIN companies.. directly, as a group.. Otherwise, taking EFFECTIVE AMOUNTS of many supplements would be unaffordable for most people who were unemployed.. Sure, you can take less of them, but that would not do what we need to have them do, protect us from serious poisons in our environment.. > > If someone is critically ill with multi-faceted problems they would have to > be very careful with any protocol including powerful antioxidants. > > Rosie > Yes, but if I am speaking for myself only, I would hope that at least I was not so careful that I didn't avail myselves of something that would help me - out of a sort of paralysis - the 'deer in the headlights effect'. Oh, I forgot, mold DOES destroy the executive functioning.. Thank God for CSM, mine is finally coming back.. I hope... That is what served us so well during the Katrina disaster.. Bureaucratic paralysis.. BTW, this debate reminds me of a hero of mine.. Lemkin, look him up.. His legacy lives and breathes in mold warriors, who fight a genocide of sorts, perhaps unknowingly.. Seriously..
