Lang Supplement Spreadsheet in Files Section

Hey All,

I've again taken the liberty of adding to the files section. This is a

spreadsheet that some of us parents of children with Cerebral Folate

Deficiency (CFD) have made for our children based on Lang's

supplement recommendations.

It's a usable spreadsheet with dosage-for-weight calculations, a color-coded

section telling you where your current supplementation is in relation to

Lang's recommendations, and metabolic explanations of the benefit of each

nutrient. One worksheet is based on Lang's AutismOne presentation, another

on Spectrum Support II. Charts are also included for Brainchild

Nutritionals products and the supplement metabolism chart from Lang's

AutismOne PowerPoint.

I found this spreadsheet to be extremely helpful to me in treating my child

and hope that you do, too. As a note, you will notice that one parent input

the values for their child and the folinic acid is something like >1000

times Lang's recommendation for folinic acid. That's because of the

particular problem that children with CFD have in getting folate across the

blood-brain barrier and the need in this syndrome for extremely high-dose

folinic acid -- sort of flooding the gates of the BBB so that some of it

makes its way through.

Also, a while back I put a number of medical articles in the files section

(, Neubrander, the Geiers, etc). If it is getting too big -- Mandi, I

believe that you can check that -- then just ask me and I'll take some files

out. They're great, but maybe I can find the online links to the ones that

are available free online and put those in the links section instead, keep

the rest (unless we think we don't need them). Links take up a lot less

room. So Mandi, just say the word I'll get rid of whatever you want me to.

Mandi -- This version may be a bit better than the one I sent you earlier

this weekend -- I cleaned it up slightly. Anyway, it's a tool each of us

can make our own, ours for the editing...

Best,

Theresa
