Guest guest
We have just received one of our son's test results (Drs Data, Comprehensive Stool Analysis/Parasitology x 1) at Dr Heard's recommendation. (We were long overdue on doing one of these). The test results show NLF E. coli (2+) in the Bacteriology Culture (Disbiotic flora). Can anyone give quick feedback on what this means? I will be contacting Dr Heard for a follow up consultation, but am awaiting the OAT test results, so that I can go back to him with both results. I was concerned to see E. coli mentioned, however, so as I wait, I wondered if anyone could give any informal feedback Any comments welcome! Following earlier posts, my first impressions of Dr Heard were very good. He is well informed and seems to be helping parents make informed choices. Guest guest
Hi Pamela, I am not sure of the significance of the value, but we all have E Coli in our system except new borns- There is generally no bp with even elevated levels; however some rare strains produce some enterotoxins and there could be as a consequence dysentery, with acute loss of fluids through diarrhea- Something that cannot be missed. But please let us know what Dr Heard said. Lorene On 19 Mar 05, at 13:36, Mum231ASD@... wrote: > NLF= Non Lactose Fernenting but I don;t know what that means.
