Hi

We have the TD DMPS but haven't started yet as I'm waiting on the MB12 and wnat to start that first so I know whats doing what.

What I do know is the Lipo GSH is very positive, We started very low dose (given the reactions I read on CK2) at 4 drops twice a day. We have worked up slowly and are doing 10 drops twice daily now. 8 drops = 1/8 teaspoon. He is very lively, as opposed to hyper, very vocal as in noisy LOL (I like it!) and very happy. Improved recptive language, concentration, focus and his TA told me yesterday he is watching the other children very intently which is something she hasn;t noticed before. He even tried to join in a game of trains but the lad he had been watching was very anti-sharing. Must have been really motivated coz he tried 3 times :)

I have decided to do the TD DMPS on 8 hourly to start with, will probaly run for a week with daily minerals and 10 drops per dose and see how he does. He is going to hate the cream and this gives us plenty of consistent practice. We have been playing putting 10 drops on his inner arm and doing the rubbing so maybe that will help. Have also been lifting some buttock between two fingers and jabbing it with the other one telling him this is what we are going to do - he thinks its a hoot right now but I can;t see that lasting!!

How long are the needles? Are they short so stop you going IM instead of SC?

Mandi x

We're about to start the lipo GSH too, are you using the TD GSH as well? Also have you tried the B12 shots yet? We've also got those but haven't been brave enough to give them a try yet! Great to hear Sam is doing well on the GSH, fab news about his school reports.

Mandi,

b-12 - They are the needles used for injiecting insulin - even say " for

insulin only " on the side, if that helps.

Hi Mandi,

thanks very much for the advice on the lipo GSH. Dr M said she wanted J on 1/4 tsp 2x per day but I will certainly start oot very slowly and build up based on what you've said. Do you give them morning and afternoon. If they cause hyperness is it best to avoid giving in the evening? We haven't braved the B12 shots yet, I'm trying to get hold of some emla cream - does anyone know whether you can buy this anywhere? We will brave it soon but will start the lipo GSH first before adding B12 and then td DMPS. Did you start the B12 before your DMPS or ae you going to add the B12 later?

With best wishes and many thanks

You can;t get methycobalamin in the UK, what GP's Rx here is Hydrocobalamin :(

Hence expensive imports :(

We used to used the numbing cream when I worked for GP's but its wasn;t called EMLA - will try and find out the name. Of course they'd want to know what you were planning to inject............

>>>I think thats a good idea :) certainly can;t do any harm eh?

Do you give them morning and afternoon.

If they cause hyperness is it best to avoid giving in the evening?

>>We use Melatonin and haven;t seen any sleep issues

We haven't braved the B12 shots yet, I'm trying to get hold of some emla cream - does anyone know whether you can buy this anywhere?

>>probably - ask in the chemist - tell them you want a topical numbing cream - I don;t htink its called EMLA here

We will brave it soon but will start the lipo GSH first before adding B12 and then td DMPS. Did you start the B12 before your DMPS or ae you going to add the B12 later?

>>> the MB12 didn;t arrive and the more I thought about it the more I thought I would never start the TD DMPS and was even regretting buying it LOL. So we started on Saturday, 8 hourly protocol 10 drops per dose, no issues as yet, good or bad but I did think he was hyper on Sunday AM - possibly toomuch GSH??? so I ddn;t give it this morning. Apparently he acted tired at school and went pale for about 20 mins, perked back up and has been fime since. We gave the Lipo GSH this evening - he's looking good so far. Plan to keep going for a 7 days and then stop and hopefully try the MB12 over the holidays when I can keep an eye on him.

Good luck

Ps Yes we are doing minerals each day - he couldn;t go even 24 hours without them I know from experience............

Hi , Don't know if you can buy Emla cream, as I think it's on prescription from your GP (can anyone else confirm this?). If you have a supportive GP, it's worth running the latest B12 information by him/her and explaining your situation, to see if you can have it prescribed, so you can pick some up regularly. To highlight the need for B12, there is some good documentation around (which is very recent). Sharon pointed out to me that Jill has managed to have her paper published (I can send you the link if you want) and also, I found the email to J MCandless from Dr Neubrander on B12 (posted here recently) to be very convincing, so you could use that too. If you need any more paperwork to convince a reticent GP, let us know as I'm sure between us we can signpost all the good stuff. Good luck, Pamela Re: TD DMPS/Lipo GSH - Hi We have the TD DMPS but haven't started yet as I'm waiting on the MB12 and wnat to start that first so I know whats doing what. HiPamela,

Thanks for the advice. I have discussed the MB12 with our paed and have lent him Dr M's book which he did actually read! I'm hoping he'll come up with the goods and support me on this one otherwise I'm not sure where I'll get it from!

Many thanks

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi Pamela,

Thank-you and all the others - Sharon, Tina etc.. for your advice on the B12 injections. We eventually bit the bullet and went for the early morning stealth approach this am and he hardly even flinched!! I was going to attempt a desensitisation process but at the mere mention of injections he fled and so I could see it would be a very long process and we really needed to get started!!!

We intend to do 2 weeks on the MB12 and then start on the TD DMPS. We did start the lipo GSH a few weeks back and on Mandi's advice (thanks) we started slow and built up! We didn't notice any major changes at all except that he now seems to be struggling with major constipation! I at first assumed this was yeast due to the lipo gsh so as well as reducing from 10 to 3 drops 2x per day I also upped the yeast killers. His behaviour isn't particularly yeasty but his appetite has waned and getting to sleep is a major issue even with melatonin.

Does anyone have any experience of the lipo gsh causing major constipation? I'm trying to increase vit c and mg but we're stil not moving daily and I don't want to start the DMPS until we are. We've always done the transdermal gsh without any problems so I'm not sure what to think - if anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear - I've had this DMPS for weks now and am still not in a position to start it - very frustrating!!!!

Anyway its great to hear that so many of you are cracking on with the B12 and DMPS without major problems - has anyone seen any good benefits from either as yet?

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year,
