Hi Beth

Thanks for your input. The Apricot Seed Meal doesn't have any scent to

it at all. It looks and feels like beach sand. I figured that if it was

basically ground up seeds that maybe the shelf-life would be indefinite

but I may be wrong. The woman that ordered it (along with other stuff)

said it's for her husband - that he loves exfoliating soaps. I don't

know if he uses the bars directly on his skin (no wash cloth) or not. I

used to make the loofah soap and loved the feel of it directly on my

skin in the shower (except the face). I wish that all the companies

would put " shelf life " on their labels of products that they sell. It

would make life a LOT easier.

Thanks again

Here's the question: Does anyone know the shelf life of these products?

I would think (but may be wrong) that the loofah would be fine

indefinitely. Am I right? The other two items I'm not sure about and

don't know where to look on the internet.

Hi Lurking !

Both the jojoba spheres and the loofah last indefinitely. The apricot

meal

is iffy. If it doesn't smell rancid, go ahead and use it. I'd be

surprised

if it's still OK, unless you froze it, but just check.

HTH,

I totally missed the fact that it was apricot seed, and was, in my muddled

mind, thinking ground nut. Although seeds do contain oil, it's not likely

they would go rancid, and wouldn't be an issue for exfoliation.

Jojoba has an indefinite shelf life, so it will be fine. Ground loofah is

also great stuff. :-)

Sorry about that.

I just found two more jars in

the cupboard but they're from Snowdrift Farms. They call theirs Jojoba

Beads (INCI Name Jojoba Esters) and say it's Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil

just like the brand I was originally speaking of. I have a note written

on the label " 1 year shelf life. " So I either got that from their

website when I rec'd them or I emailed Trina and asked her.

To further confuse things I just found them on From Nature with Love and

their site says " 2 yr. shelf life "

I can understand the name differences, as each company wants to give them

their own moniker, but the shelf life doesn't make any sense. Maybe to cover

their assets. . . I have beads that are at least a few years old, and they're

perfectly fine.

If you don't want them, send them to me, LOL. ;-)

Hi Beth

I had a feeling you missed that I was talking about ground seeds. But

now I'm confused about the Jojoba Spheres. I just found two more jars in

the cupboard but they're from Snowdrift Farms. They call theirs Jojoba

just like the brand I was originally speaking of. I have a note written

To further confuse things I just found them on From Nature with Love and

their site says " 2 yr. shelf life " with the same INCI name but they call

theirs Jojoba Wax Beads. Go figure!! I think I'll just stay away from

them altogether.
