Guest guest
I've used these twice and wonder if doing these again and sending to the lab they have will give me an idea of what I have? Think it was $30. Can't remember the name but got them at Lowes. Maybe Lab One. I called S & ME an industrial hygenist in Raleigh and they told me charge could be from $1,200 - 1,800. That is expensive. Moldidservices is $500 but he only takes one sample inside house and one outside. Doesn't sound like enough. He is in the American Industrial Hygiene Association consulting listing. Says on his site he test for microrganism also. I just would like to know what I have esp. sinc I have a brain lesion. S & ME is going to call me back and give me a list of mold redemiation companies. Will call all of them and see what they use. Everyone else I have called says KILL the mold and Carl says you have to Remove the mold. Envirocure is the only one that says Remove with an enzyme but I haven't got the name of the enzyme. I've got a negative feedback about this company from one member here so my head is spinning. Meeting a waterproofing company at 2:00 today just to get an estimate. They use a fungicide so I'm scared of them taking care of the mold. Got an AC man coming also to tell me how much a new plenum and air ducts will be. I was excited about the light that kills molds but Carl told me don't work. S & ME also told me don't work. This is no fun. Rhonda

Several months ago I tested four rooms with the mold testing kit from Home Depot and I sent off the worse one to be tested for $30. It showed two types of mold but said neither one was in enough quanities to be dangerous. I believe the fact that those two were present but that did not rule out Stachy as it does not always settle from what told me. I also do not think that the labs know what levels are dangerous for ME. As Carl Grimes book says, we all have different levels of sensitivity. for the money, it gives you somewhere to start. Carl can probably comment on the cost the local people want to charge you. Bob --------------------------------- Photos Ring in the New Year with Photo Calendars.
