Guest guest
Who I am: Anne Cycle day: 1 (as of 0245 this morning) Currently on: Clomid (3-7), Guaifenesin & Estrogen (10-ovulation), prenatal vitamins, other vitamins & calcium, & allergy meds. Upcoming Appointments: I need to go for my 'day 3' labs and ultrasound on Wednesday & then we have the follow up with the RM doctor Thursday afternoon... hopefully he will at least go through with the HSG, and I am going to beg for the IUI although I have a feeling he won't do it. Has anyone ever heard that the biggest complication of IUI is anaphylaxis? That is what the RM doctor and nurse practitioner have told us, supposedly because the washing procedure for the sperm. I am just curious if this is true, or if the clinic is trying to get out of treating us. Because really, everything in my life has the POSSIBLE complication of anaphylaxis, and I haven't died from it yet. I could also step off the curb, be hit by a bus & be killed. But I don't want to live my life being afraid of what MIGHT happen, a lot of things MIGHT happen. I don't know where they normally do IUI, but if they agree to do it I would prefer it be done in like a same day surgery setting so that all the bases are covered & the emergency equipment is available in case it is needed for some reason. In medical settings the majority of my allergies are set off by people I encounter, including the doctors & nurses that are treating me. Other: I really thought I was pregnant & my body is acting like I am (torturing me). The symptoms were pretty vague until this morning, but they got worse about 2am... nausea, bringing up lots of stomach acid (not vomiting though), lightheaded/dizzy, chest discomfort/heartburn type feeling. I am super tired but can't sleep. I just love getting this monthly curse, when I do fall asleep, it always wakes me up about an hour before the fun begins so that I am sure not to miss out on all the fun I guess. I'd rather sleep through it! I finished the baby quilt Sunday afternoon. I took some pictures & I will scan them in after I have them developed. I started on a birth announcement picture for my god daughter Xaymca (yes I am a bit slow... since she is almost 21 months old) it is a baby chick holding a bunch of balloons. I already have 1 balloon done, just 4 to go I think. (I often cross stitch when I can't sleep, at least I am doing something constructive that way). I went totally bonkers this weekend buying stuff online (that I can't really afford, but....). I bought a bunch of books about TTC & High Risk Pregnancy. I also bought a few too many stickers & other supplies for scrapbooking. I did really good though because the final order total was more than $300 less than my original wish list. Here in Minnesota we have such screwed up weather.... April 1st we got 10 inches of snow; April 15th it was 91 degrees F; & yesterday April 21st we got another 6 inches of snow. The snow is expected to stay in some parts of the cities for up to 2 days. I wish the weather would make up its mind!! Terry keeps telling me that if I don't like the weather I should just wait 5 minutes. All I know is that I am tired of being either really hot or freezing by butt off (although none of it seems to fall off, this I would like... LOL) Oh ya, Terry & I went to the Baby Fair at Southdale Mall here on Saturday. It was pretty cool, and we came home with a bunch of cool stuff from Enfamil. They were giving out free diaper bags with Rabbit on them, & a cute Rabbit feeding bowl. Each diaper bag contained coupons, a breast pump rebate card, a 'loving your baby' magazine, a latex free nipple, 4 (3oz.) 'nursette bottles' & a small can of their newest powdered formula "Lipin with Iron" (which is supposed to be closer to breast milk than other formulas because it contains DHA & ARA that are nutrients found in breast milk). Each bag also comes with a little inner bag to carry bottles in with 2 ice packs for within that bag, a 'Smart Symphonies" CD, samples of baby care products, a booklet about breast feeding, & a breastfeeding/diaper record keeper. On the strap of the bag is a ring of plastic safety tips cards for emergencies & stuff important to know about babies. Enfamil also had boxes of single serve tubes of all their types of formula so that you can mix a bottle when it is needed instead of having to worry about keeping it cold when out and about. They are pretty neat. **I am not trying to sell or advertise for Enfamil, I was just telling you about the Baby Fair** They had pickles and ice cream there, Terry had pickles but i had both... unfortunately I had to have them separately because when we went to get the pickles the ice cream hadn't arrived yet, otherwise I would have eaten them together. I have always liked the 2 together. Hot Fudge sundaes with dill pickles... nummy! There were also a bunch of other booths at the fair... Discovery Toys, Motherhood Maternity, a photography place that specializes in babies, Creative Memories (scrapbooking Baby Book), a bunch of other booths, but Enfamil was the biggest and most popular booth. It was a lot of fun, and we got to see lots of babies... including identical 3 week old triplets. Well that is most of what I know. Love Always, Anne
