Guest guest
Well, since any kind of drywall is likely to be contaminated with exactly what I am trying to avoid, what would be a viable susstitute for a basement bathroom? I bought a fiberglass shower which I can't return even if I want to. It needs to be anchored somehow, and I already figured out that the usual method of using adhesives to glue the treated lumber on the floor would make me sick. We have discussed using treated lumber and cement screws. Also using ceramic tile Cement instead of glue where needed. Maybe I can use cement board, but where could I find a clay plaster to put over it instead of the usual drywall putty (you know, that plaster substitute that is used on drywall). And then , how do you finish the wall? What kind of paint, etc. It sounds like what ever I do for the painting part of it, I am likely to get affected by it. Any comments and/or suggestions?
