Olivia was diagnosed w/ progressive idiopathic infantile scoliosis at 5 months of age. The docs would like to label Olivia as idiopathic, but I know (and more than a few euro docs agree) that Olivias scoli is NOT idiopathic...Hers was caused by her MISDIAGNOSED subluxed left hip from birth to 5 months.

I think idiopathic is an over used label, so no one has to determine the root cause of your diagnosis. Too much work, and someone may be held accountable for not noticing/treating what could of prevented your childs diagnosis.

just my opinion,

I am wondering if we haven't had similar situation with Madison.

She was diagnosed with hip displaysia at birth and wore a Pavelik

Harness for the first 13 weeks of her life. I am curious if this is

what caused the scoli, but I guess there really isn't a way to know

for sure?
