Guest guest
finally got my computer totally squared away for me to get emails from both ISPs on this computer just means that I cannot send emails to email lists/groups that I am on without switching them all over to an email address that I can both directly read from as well as reply from and send from to the affected email group/list. Thus, all of my email groups/lists are now sending their emails to 2 of my addresses and I use 2 other addresses to occasionally download the very few emails that I still get to my ISP email addresses. As to my health, still the same old same old with the added caveat that I will probably not have any insurance for up to about another 2-3 months according to my hubby and that is at the earliest. ===== T. aka Pegasus Messenger pegasustom MSN Messenger pegasusnumber1@... Guest guest
> Talk about scary...no insurance!!!!! Hope you > can do > okay without it!!! Take care. SueH That is what I also hope. I have told hubby that while we have NO insurance that he either has to wash ANY dishes that contain/contained something that I am allergic to himself or else tote ONLY those dishes/utensils over to one of his family's residences for tending to, after which, they can either stay there for future use or come back. This is because I am having excalating allergy attacks if I am the one that washes them and I have told him that we cannot financially going to the ER/hospital should I have a really bad allergic reaction to those while we are off of insurance. His mother has told me to go ahead and carry over hubby's stuff that have had food in them that I am allergic to and she will handle them. I am not saying that I do not wash the dishes that have had foods in them that I am not allergic to, those, I gladly wash myself since I would not want them waiting around a year or more for hubby to wash them LOL ===== T. aka Pegasus Messenger pegasustom MSN Messenger pegasusnumber1@... Guest guest
Sounds like one of my roommates... Anyway, since you are having such a tough time with the allergies, make sure you keep some benedryl at the house. That stuff has been a lifesaver for me. Guest guest
Hello Helen I guess the Houston heat does demand a " rollon " these days I'm currently very very tired. The 256 new computers took several 18 hour days to get in and we're still having some problems with the new RAID controller (it's IBM's best so not very many people have tried it out hence plenty of issues to find), also the University is at the end of it's financial cycle so my friends their have to spend money pronto and want my opinions hence a mountain of government bids to wade through on unproven technology. I need to book an appt with my GP cause he wanted to check my Triglyceride levels so I'm overdue for that. My Cardio appt is not till Oct. I've got to sort out a speeding ticket (caught driving 71 on a road that used to be 70 a few months ago, was changed to 55 and the politicians just decided it was a mistake to do so and are trying to change it back, everyone else was driving 75 to 80 but they decided to snag me). Even though the merger that was supposed to save my client from bankruptcy fell through, they want me to sign on permanently and are offering a fair sized pay increase and double the vacation time. The consultancy company that I'm fronted through want to hold out for a $35,000 payoff because they originally planned on collecting a core of experienced people to augment and develop their other consultants and so far they've only collected me for the core. There's meant to be a big showdown meeting on Thursday to sort it all out, both companies are putting all the employment contracts between them on the table in this play. Another company where some of the people I trained ten years ago is expanding so they want me onboard and are planning to match or beat the offer, of course this means snubbing the front company; they wanted me to meet with them on Thursday but I've stalled till Friday on that (one bargaining round at a time is what I figure). Three roads and whatever I do, two companies will be pissed off at me. Because of the merger fallout, the second batch of 256 computers has been cancelled by IBM accountants due to our dropping credit rating (well at least that means we get some sleep for a change). Back in Feb. when I was hospitalized, I had planted a number of herbs, my mother pronounced them dead when she came down to " take care " of me and planted Kumquats on top of them. Of the Kumquats, two have sprouted but with one a defiant herb sprouted later and is overtaking the Kumquat. Have no idea as to which herb it is, probably Basil or Oregano. I'm " rooting " for the herb to choke off the Kumquat. Hmmm, I'm noticing a pattern, both my parents and my older sister left the kitty litter to me when they visited to " take care " of me and decided to kill off the plants and attempt to rename the cats. Guest guest
Helen-and what is amazing to me is how many companies are dropping good plans to pick up inferior ones claiming money shortage etc. A dear friend of mine recently had that happen at her job and had to find new drs etc. It is so hard and so unfair. carol On Tue, 27 Aug 2002 23:11:11 EDT angelbear1129@... writes: > Glad you got your computer fixed right... Guest guest
I liked that ) Now , Your parents and sister wouldn't do that to you would they??? ) How are you today ??? You sure have been busy... No wonder you haven't been on the computer... After taking care of 256 new computers, I'd be tired of computers also... Sounds like you could be rolling in the dough here ) Now make a Good decision as to which company you want to work for... Now remember, money isn't the Only issue, but hmmmm wait, It sure is a Big one though ) 71 in a 55, don't ya just love those that play with the speed signs :o/ I'd be contesting it... Have ya made your Dr's appointments yet??? How is your health doing??? Exspecially with all this work you are doing????? Keep me posted....
