Short answer :forget it.

Long answer:

Jamey, I was with CHP for a few years, then I got sick of them and

quit after they told me that I was going to get paid 20 bucks for my

initial exam (standard fee=100) and 10 bucks for my re-exam (my

standard fee 50). I am glad I did, it was like big brother always

looking over my shoulder...I sold patients short on care because I did

not want to show up the CHP radar screen. After I quit my practice

went up. Also, once I quit, I became more free to see how I had been

compromising myself and rationalizing my joining in the first place.

The reality is my reasons for joining were 'fear-driven' and my

reasons for quitting were 'love-driven'.

I DO REALLY like and respect at least 2 of the folks who founded and

own that company (especially the ones that are at least engaged in

conversation with the rest of the profession and honestly state their

case/philosophy...but I just think they have lost their way (or were

never on the right track to begin with)and I think they have not

helped chiropractic, nor the 'so-called' chiropractic patients that

they claim to have brought under so-called chiropractic care:

In their system they talk a good talk but here is what I saw:

1) chiropractors are mainly technicians who offer quick,

cost-effective, relief of non-complicated musculo-skeletal pain in

skeletally-mature adults.

and

2) In some scenarios your initial exams are worth $20 and that your

re-exams are worth $10 and the number of exams per year was somehow

limited.

3) X-rays should really only be done to rule out red flag pathologies....

4) Chiros should never really comment on the patient's medical (MD) care.

Anywho, if the above sounds like you (fat chance), then perhaps CHP is

for you.

BUT:

If you feel that chiropractors are very special doctors that offer a

wide array of powerful health-promoting approaches other than

'quick-fix-pain-relief- care' (i.e., structural correction approaches,

preventive maintenance, nutritional counseling, exercise counseling,

stress management, life-style education etc.)

Then, they are absolutely not for you.

Knowing what little I do know of you and your approach, I would say it

is a NO-BRAINER.
